I just sent in a solution. I connected the points from the images and found an area where a lot of lines intersected so that is how I came up with my solution. I never would have had the points to connect without this group so thanks everyone! This is the first armchair treasure hunt that I have actually gotten all the way to a solve. It’s probably not right but at least I finished one,,,LOL.

I never would have had the points to connect without this group so thanks everyone! This is the first armchair treasure hunt that I have actually gotten all the way to a solve. It’s probably not right but at least I finished one,,,LOL. I heard back quickly from the author Jo. My solution was not correct. Here is what she said: "Thanks for writing in and playing the puzzle! I'm afraid this answer isn't right but I wish you good luck for next time. I'm keeping to a strict rule of not commenting on potential solutions or giving out any kind of hints, so I can't give any feedback or say any more than that." Because I didn't use the needles in the images as some sort of pointer or direction hint, I am going back to see if there is some way to use those. I did group the anagrams by color and they made more sense grouped that way. Happy Hunting everyone!

Hi, would you be happy to share your incorrect solution?

Hi, would you be happy to share your incorrect solution? Multiple lines intersected just north one block of St Alphege church In Whitstable. So I looked at all the buildings near there and guessed the Barclays Bank was the best place to hide a treasure. I only drew lines to connect the dots For images 2 to 11 based on the anagram from image 11 that said ‘count ten’. I’ll expand my connect the dots to add in the rest of the locations now.

All you need is the book, google and a decent map of the area (one has been posted on the forum already). efanton - If it's still possible, could you please post a link to the decent map of the area that you mentioned? Thanks! Kind regards, Kelly

Just a summary/introduction video for The Golden Oyster: Hi Jenny, Thanks for making this intro clip to The Golden Oyster. FWIW - In your video, you mention that a link to your interview with Jo Bartley is given below, but in your original post, it hasn't been added. It might be worthwhile adding it to your original post for new readers.

Coming back to this after a lengthy break - I've moved overseas and the book seems to have disappeared, guess I need to get a replacement ordered...

rhoddir2hedfan - Were you a resident of Whitstable? I live in the U.S. and it took from December 7th until the afternoon of the 23rd for it to finally arrive. Two east coast snow storms and holiday mail burdens likely contributed to the delay, but was in good condition upon receipt.

No, but I've been there once or twice in the past, I'm not sure that gives me an advantage. Hopefully my replacement book doesn't take quite so long to arrive, I moved to Missouri.

Might be interesting to see how long it takes. When was it ordered?
