While im extremely disappointed this is over, i feel forrest fulfilled his obligation by announcing the treasure has been found. I dont think that forrest or the finder owe searchers the location or solution.

Take the last letter of each word: ESEEAEELEK. Remove the repeated letter E and you're left with (in the proper order) SALK. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonas_Salk. Coincidence? Or did f cleverly encode a message about the two major ongoing crises? |

I had looked at the last letters, but didnt make the connection you did. Need to think about that. I did see SEEK, or SEE, but lots of E's. As mentioned, the announcement date was 6.6, f.f.
"give ME a little time", where ME is a piece of tiME. Forrest seems to often put so much into so few words.
"treasure" where I left it, "under a canopy of stars" is a good one I'm looking at. in the poem, TREASURE looks to be connected to quite a few combintations of STAR (thus, STARs). connected is CANYO(n) is almost canopy, missing the P. There may be some other area that fits
