In the announcement about the treasure chest being found forest said:
Look for more information and photos in the coming days. f
One Possible interpretation is to literally look in the phrase “the coming days”. There could be a variety of ways to do this...anagramming is one of them.

MY CHEST A DOING
MY CANOED SIGHT

I don’t know how likely it is that there’s anything to the anagrams but I just thought they were interesting

Not sure there is anything more to that message - but I did find it strange that on the last searcher solution Dal posted, he put up a note saying it would be the last searcher solution until the REAL solution is announced by Forrest “which we expect in a few days.” It seems like that may no longer be the case.

Yep, I'm not sure there's anything more to it either. Is just that no news has been released since then and that phrase was just too ripe for anagrams... I couldn't resist :<)

He said he misspoke. I'll see if I can find it. I couldn't find it. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Regardless, I think it's safe to say that Dal might have misspoke. He might have assumed something there, and the finder may never want it revealed. Maybe they plan to leave part of the treasure there? One can only hope. I'm not getting my hopes up, I'm all hoped out at this point. |

I’m with you - would like to close this out and move on to the next adventure but in all fairness to Forrest and Finder, I suppose it is still early days it’s only been a week. I figure we’ll find out more info in next week or two before attention starts naturally waning. Now what that more info looks like is anyone’s guess and may very well not be anything approaching a full solve.

Even if Forrest came out and said “it’s over, just stop” people would think it’s a cryptic clue. Just throw the towel in folks. It’s over. And without any pics or solve....maybe it never began?
