The solution to Forrest's poem was IMO built around the bracelet all along. It was the title to the gold. The clue is provided by Forrest in what he says beneath the bracelet picture. "The bracelet was wet when found" he gives separate emphasis to it. It was what you had to find, it contained the clue to where to seek the chest. The bracelet had been under water buried in mud. BRACELET adds up to 66 for 'ff'

BRACELET adds up to 66 for 'ff' The bracelet and chest were NOT under water. You and others need to stop advancing that ridiculous theory. Reread the latest statements from Forrest: the chest was found ON the ground, not IN the ground, and certainly not under water. Forrest reveres many of the precious items that were in the chest. To posit that he would submerge the chest (which is valuable in itself) and needlessly and recklessly threaten its store of treasures is illogical.

Hi Zaphod, you miss my drift. The solution was built around the site of the bracelet's burial, the solution takes you to a circular cistern, the blaze, that is where the Bracelet alone was buried, he would not have buried the chest there, what you say is quite right. I never said the chest itself was under water. He discovered the circle which he could build a puzzle around and the Bracelet was in it which gave you title to the gold. If the true solution should ever come to light you will no doubt discover that. The Zodiac wheel and the clock face provided the solution at the end. That is what I have discovered. The ghosted figures on the cover of 'Once Upon a While'if looked at closely show from bottom left rising to the top and down first the head of a Greek who is Ptolemy who named all the signs of the Zodiac 'P' then'Isaac Newton' 'IN' and at the top is 'Einstein' 'E' below him 'Forrest' as a young boy 'Forrest'. Put these letters and images together you get 'PINE FOREST' where the chest itself was found. Notice the pine needles and pine cone in the chest photo. The bracelet was not in the chest is my belief, it was wet when it was found according to Forrest. This is my opinion, I do not expect you to go along with it that is your prerogative Zaphod.
