What does everyone make of the text on the top envelope? Dearest Bingley .... Binkley .... Binqley .... Binpley I am not convinced that it is a G.

I think it's a G.
If not, the next closest letter it could be might be a Q. I'm thinking about how one would actually write it out and I can't imagine a K, even a 'flourish', so to speak, from cursive would be beneath the other letters when writing in a linear fashion. And with a P (and this is just a guess/assumption), most people would probably do the stem first and then trace back up to complete the half arc section; so, it would seem to me that there wouldn't be any kind of 'flourish', especially that far, beneath the other letters.

No solutions yet but some observations.
The pattern on the right side matches the stamp on the bottom. The pattern has green marks where the stamp doesn't.
The "rose" in the stamp has a slight red/purple color to the west or north depending on which way you hold the stamp. The fluer de lis has red white and blue markings on this page unlike others.
Also in the letter there are these dots which align to some letters mlaes and possibly a p. This could be an anagram to "sample" or something else.
Any ideas what this is all pointing to?
