I actually hope I was nowhere close to getting key 2. I think it would be more frustrating to know you were on the right path and almost there lol

I actually started working on this about 12 hours before it was found. I went away, did something else, and it got found! I'd gotten as far as Ace Hardware and the store opposite, and had been trying various things. Could I have got the solution given more time? Maybe. Congratulations to the finder in any case!
Only issue I would point out is that the page number required for the cipher very much depends on using the correct edition of the book concerned.

So what was the feedback mechanism for key 2? The solution feels like such a big leap; without the key tester how would you have been able to be sure before you started entering random passwords and got yourself locked out of the account?

Agreed. It would be interesting to see how many times key 2 was tried by all and by the winner. Also, if the one who solved it knew they had the solution or was just trying whatever they could find. I still enjoyed the hunt and can now get back to full work days.

Hmm, I just watched it and I'm a little disappointed by the solution if I can be totally honest...
Everything up to the extra stanza seemed to be increasingly tricky, but still fairly linear, but using parts of the new stanza twice (watery tragedy). I don't know...
The stanzas after that aren't even used (for each of you is equal, and the completion fair. And this is where the hunt begins, etc.).
Just a bit disappointed by this. I had hoped it would've been more complex on a logical level.

Agreed. And I’m not happy that his May hint wasn't true.
The takeaway for me is that the Y/N question format doesn’t work. If you’re going to give a hint, then give a hint of your own creating. Which he also did throughout but I think he should drop the Y/N question in future hunts.
