A bit of portions of an odd solve idea. What if we have been looking at the blaze a little too small? If I was to ask what the blaze in America represented the torch carried by the statue of Liberty would be a good candidate. Here are some other items that could tie it to the poem and books.
It is south of Jersey (milk cow).
It is in New York - are we in the right state of mind to decode it? (New York state of mind).
It was a gift from France - french tombstones, smile at a homely girl, go in Peace.
It was constructed at Fort Wood (wise and in the wood).
It is located where the ocean starts (where the warm water halts).
The picture of Forrest with the hovering hat with the barbed wire and the hole. The crown appears to hover, the barbed wire is like the points. there is observation windows to look out. Most importantly Forrest is carrying a tablet - just like her. And that tablet could represent the beginning of the poem...
As I go alone in there - that is a declaration of independence!
The statue is made of Bronze - lots of reference to bronze, also starts red, turns green.
It was damaged by an explosion (kind of like Skippy).
It shows up on multiple currencies.
It has a sign (plaque).
It is regularly struck by lightning.
It is a site of school trips.
The Statue of Liberty is actually a nickname. It is officially called Liberty Enlightening the World.
It is wearing sandles and breaking free of chains, symbolizing the emancipation of slaves.
It is gilded with gold near the torch.
I know, I know, not in the Rockies. But there is a Liberty in Colorado.
Anyone else want to chip in some details that would fit? Or throw some friendly shade?
