Hi all. 'Omega' is the 24th letter of the Greek alphabet, often used to signify the end, so why are there two? I believe they relate to the Rainbow for a rainbow has two ends, a beginning and an end, think 'Alpha and Omega' which is a well known phrase from the book of 'Revelation' the last book of the New Testament in the Bible. 'Revelation' means to reveal something that was secret. The bible quote reads: "I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end". In the revised edition of 'Once upon a While' the colophon has only one 'Omega' and this to me signified that the beginning of the rainbow had already been discovered, now only the last 'Omega' remained to be found. The very end of Forrest's rainbow where the treasure lay.
It was strange to me that Forrest used the words "will lead to the end of my rainbow and the treasure" instead of "will lead to the end of the rainbow and the treasure. The reasoning behind this was that Forrest was directing us towards the letter 'W' as the end of his rainbow. You can make a case for this belief by looking at Line 3 of Stanza 1 which reads:
"I can keep my secret where" This line is asking a question 'where', and yet there is no question mark at the end. Forrest has used one in Stanza 5 line 2., so why not here? My belief for this anomaly is that Forrest intended us to read it in a different way where it is no longer a question. The only way I can read it is as "I can keep my secret 'W' here, And hint of riches new and old" I believe it forms part of the solution at the end by using the Zodiac wheel.
Unfortunately I cannot show you my workings on this Zodiac puzzle as there is no way to post photos here, otherwise I would gladly show them. However if you search Google under 'The zodiac teaching wheel' it should come up. It has all the pictures of the signs around the circumference of the wheel and not inside. It has a pointer running East to West or vice versa, since the Zodiac runs anti clockwise. You will notice that sign 1 is Aries and sign 7 is Libra, and 1 to 7 covers the rainbow colors, seven in all. You can formulate the secret 'W' here on the Zodiac by imagining the clock face overlaid upon it where it shows that the hours fall in the middle of each sign. Start in the middle of Aries sign 1 and draw to the middle of Gemini sign 3, then draw to the very center of the Zodiac and then to the middle of Leo sign 5 lastly draw from here to the center of sign 7, you now have Forrest's secret 'W' I believe. You can also see if you look closely that the lines you have drawn making the 'W' have passed through Aries, Taurus, Leo and Libra. Only one sign is untouched and singled out and that is 'Cancer'. The sign of Cancer is 4 selected by a 'W' 23. This signifies: Row 4 Block 23 the two numbers seen in the book's Epilogue. Notice also that Cancer falls between sign 3 and 5 or 35, and there is a short chapter in Forrest's book which is on Page 35 entitled 'Me in the Middle'.
It gets more interesting if you write the word RAINBOW around the Zodiac from 1 to 7 but going clockwise this time. We concentrate on the first and last letters now 'R' comes first and 'R' is 18 in the alphabet, 'W' comes last and 'W' is 23 in the alphabet. Added together these two add up to 41 which is where warm waters finally halt. For if the RED angle of the rainbow is 42 degrees and HOT and the BLUE 40 degree angle is COLD then 41 degrees falls between the two as 'WARM' doesn't it. Think of T.S Eliot's quote "will be to end up where you started and know the place for the first time. You will here understand the meaning of "Where warm waters halt"
Finally if you look at the sign the letter 'R' begins in it is sign 1 and 18 + 1 = 19. Do the same with the 'W' which is 23 in sign 7 and you get 23 + 7 = 30. So the beginning and end of Rainbow gives us the year Forrest Fenn was born. "I am umbilically attached to the spot" of course, by birth. His sign is 'LEO' and all signs emanate from the center of the Zodiac don't they? Also all the lines cross at the right spot on a clock face, namely the center.
There is another one of Forrest's steps that helps confirm this Zodiac puzzle I believe but I will post it at another time on here. If you look at my 'Pirate Solution' that is based on both the clock face and the Zodiac and maybe why he relates to his Captain Kidd dream. I must state these are just my own opinions of what the solution may have been based upon.

There are others around the Chase who are too, I was just in the mood to post my feelings on that.

End of the search.
Look at UXU Upside down. Two omegas with x marks the spot. See UXU solve page 8 of thread "Where do you think treasure was".
