You well know that if he gave us the STATE this month - we would then want the County, then the Border, then the area, etc. We wouldn’t stay content with just that for long. A x

You know something interesting, zap? Think about this... Forrest could easily give out the state at least, it would satisfy many people and they might understand why the solve and exact spot are not given out by anyone (since its up to the finder). Well, these lawsuits are mainly based on solves ending in NM. You'd think it the chest was NOT in NM, Forrest would be quick to say "It was in MT" or whatever. What if he isn't releasing the state because it was in NM? Food for thought... Forrest has come this far without being pressured into releasing any info. about state (intruders in his house etc.) so I don't think he'd be likely to cave for any frivolous lawsuit.

What's with the cryptic message Dal received concerning Aug. 4th, though? I don't know, but here is what I have as the quote: "I got one strange message on the blog today actually. The message was: Wait 'til you close it down until August 4th. I have something very important to reveal. Could it be from the finder? I don't know." A better question might be, who was the cryptic message from, and why would Dal even take it serious enough to acknowledge. Especially considering the number of trolls and unmentionables deleted from his site due to ridiculous content. I guess it doesn't matter though, and we might never know, since posting of new messages on Dal's site is closed. Kind of reminds me of the big news FF was going to release this year. I suppose the light of that plane will never hit its bullseye... markedly given the recent news of a "finder"!

I looked around Dal's site but didn't find the comment by text search, so I assumed it was via email. Dal could well get another email Aug 4, but the finder would have authenticated via Forrest, I would think.
I assume Dal would pass it on because it creates content for Josh's show and it's mysterious. There was almost zero Fenn content that we don't already know otherwise despite the use of the term "serious update." The only other thing I got is Forrest is refusing interviews. He appears to be done, though he's changed his mind before about withdrawing..

The fact that this mystery person asked Dal to not shut his site down before Aug. 4th tells me he isn't really familiar with Dal or his site. Dal said he has no intention of shutting down the site yet. It's just closed for comments so I'm surprised Dal even addressed this topic on the show last night. I think this person who has something to reveal doesn't sound like the finder since the finder wants to remain anonymous.

My guess is the messsage to Dal was from the new user going by the username "fine der." He posted on July 3rd. His first couple of posts were later deleted. From memory, he wanted to know when the blog was closing down, because he had an announcement to make. He made a point of saying everybody would just have to wait. That and his other posts are still there. Jdiggins will remember this since she connected with him. Hope that helps.

I reached out to Expedition Unknown for help with the Fenn Treasure. They weren't interested. I think I went about it wrong. I should have told them that I astral projected into Fenn's house and found the solution on the computer. THEN, they might have helped me.

But the message in question may have been from that date and deleted if it's the same person you're talking about.

At the end of the day it doesn't really matter. IMO it's a waste of time speculating about all of these wanna be-could be-probably not finder rumors and lawsuits. When there's something important to know I'm sure we will hear from Dal.

On Sean's show, Dal said he'd shut down in 6 months when his prepaid web hosting expires.

Honestly, I understand their reasoning. There has to be something entertaining about the story in case the hunt bombs. I didn't offer a solve because from my point of view I had 2 million dollars worth of top secret information And, I still believe I have information concerning "The Secret" where I would give the complete solve, but, they don't really have any reason to believe I'm correct. I think they would believe it if they took time to read it.

I agree goldhunter. Knowlege is wisdom on the edge, where all we have to do is spend countless hours figuring out how the known universe condenses down into a 10”x10” square. It’s kind of like another puzzle listed here on Jenny’s site - difficult, yet simple, once understood. Figure out the end and you’ve got that suspicious, and wise, owl telling you how many licks it takes to get to the…

Where did I say he would be pressured or cave due to a lawsuit? Why do people make crazy assumptions? One thing to keep in mind too: The finder has ZERO obligation to the search community. Imagine if the finder is someone who was constantly screwed by the community, banned from the forums, laughed at, harassed, etc.. Maybe this is his way of giving back what he was given?

I guess I misunderstood you. You said, "these lawsuits are mainly based on solves ending in NM. You'd think it the chest was NOT in NM, Forrest would be quick to say "It was in MT" or whatever." If he eliminated a state for that reason wouldn't that be caving due to a lawsuit?
