because of the laws about putting things in National Parks. But you found a painted rock that likely was not naturally occurring. The tough thing with the in the park/not in the park debate is that the boundaries have changed quite a bit since Fandango was published. Absolutely! I'm not saying other people aren't breaking the rules! But the book says no laws are to be broken. It was a fine-able offense even in 2007, so I don't think they would have placed it there. The park doesn't want people going off trails, damaging fragile undergrowth, breaking branches, digging holes etc. If it turns out that the key is indeed in the park, I'll be disappointed that they would knowingly endanger a national park for a game. I know there are people who have already done everything I mentioned in search of this key and I'm just not going to do that. I'm sure that whoever left the heart rock had nothing to do with Fandango - probably just a memento to a girlfriend. :-)

....and to add to what I said above. I’m not insinuating that I feel the key is ACTUALLY on CadiLLAc Mountain, only that the Cadillac Mountain image in the book has the sign posts that are crucial to cracking the riddle. If Numbers are so important, that is the single most “number heavy” page in the entire book. I agree :-)
