Pointing us to the Olympics, perhaps?

Riddle is still unsolved! August clue released! It looks like a good clue that might end it this month: Clue, August 2020 – Los Angeles Atlanta linkIm thinking Pete doesnt want us getting that case of bourbon. Stephen posited “Olympics”... that would be s connection, needs some external knowledge. Can it be tied to the other clues. Atlantis is a space shuttle, Endeavor is in LA... but this needs too much external knowledge. Im trying to find something more fundamental, like the last letters of the clue ...SSA / AS* ....

I promise once you figure out what the riddle is talking about his clues make a ton of sense. Having said that though, I'm still having trouble narrowing down the exact spot....

Hey all, long time lurker, first time poster here, haha! I actually made an account just to post this (From Wikipedia):
"USS Atlanta (SSN-712), a Los Angeles-class submarine, was the fifth ship of the United States Navy to be named for Atlanta, Georgia."
Endeavor/Endeavour has been the name of a number of different ships. Perhaps "Los Angeles Atlanta" reinforces the idea of some naval reference? Just thought I'd share!

Just for reference: A 4" by 4" spot:
Here is the Breakfast Tea & Bourbon riddle: I fly like a realized Bourbon Red with a pointy head and feathers on my butt.
Where am I?
Clue, December 2017 – The Fifth. Clue, November 2017 - The book's main character, Nelson Ware, has said, "Every word is important in my writing." Clue, March 2019 – Focus on the word “realized.” There is one definition that can change how you look at the riddle in a BIG way. Clue, March 2020 – A massive endeavor points to your case of bourbon. Clue, April 2020 – Bourbon is for celebrating the riddle, not finding the solution. Clue, May 2020 - I fly [What flies?] … like a realized [What does that mean?] … Bourbon Red [What is that?] … with a pointy head and feathers on my butt. [Everyone gets that.] … Where am I? [Well?] Clue, June 2020 – The Bourbon Red is the Rudolph of the bird family. “With the sleigh full of toys…” Clue, July 2020 – Fly on! Put a stamp on it. Let’s get the riddle to its destination!!! Clue, August 2020 – Los Angeles Atlanta

The "Los Angeles Atlanta" clue is perplexing. As others have pointed out, the USS Atlanta was a Los Angeles class nuclear submarine, so that's one way to tie those two cities together. Also, each is the most populous city in its state, and (also already pointed out) both cities hosted Summer Olympics. Nor sure if anyone has mentioned it, but the bomber at the Atlanta Olympics was Eric *Rudolph*, connecting Atlanta to the Rudolph clue.
All Los Angeles zipcodes begin with 90--- and all Atlanta zipcodes start with 30----. 30 N, 90 W is in New Orleans (Nelson Ware anagram). Round and round we go...

Since Pete has basically written that the solution has nothing to do with bourbon, and he provided the Rudolph clue, it certainly seems like the straightforward interpretation of "Bourbon Red" is the turkey. Now many will tell you that turkeys cannot fly (and a funny/tragic episode of WKRP in Cincinnati involves that very subject), but the fact is that wild turkeys ~can~ fly for short distances. That they roost in trees tells you they had to get up there somehow. But they can't fly far before they run outta juice -- perhaps the length of a football field, tops. So, ignoring the all-important word "realized" for the moment, if you say you fly like a Bourbon Red -- meaning you fly like a turkey -- it suggests you don't fly far, and you do so close to the ground. Many possible answers come to mind: a frisbee/discus, baseball, football, javelin, spear, arrow, boomerang, paper airplane, the Wright Brothers' plane, ... (While I like that last answer, a better verb tense in that case would have been "I flew".) Then there are the idioms for things that fly, which are more in line with the answers to typical riddles: time, rumors, accusations, insults, sparks, "off the handle," "by night," and "the wind". But idiom answers are not likely to be too useful in specifying such a precise 4-inch by 4-inch spot in the U.S., unless the idiom answer itself names a unique place (e.g. Sparks, Nevada or Zephyr, Texas). Flags fly, and some have "swallowtail" shapes (like Ohio's flag). The base of a typical flagpole is in the right size range for what we seek. But of course flying flags are everywhere, and we don't have a lot of words in our riddle to uniquely specify the correct one. So, returning to the word "realized," and using Pete's specific definition of "to bring into concrete existence," I'm sure others must have considered the possibility that this might be a clue for a turkey sculpture. Well -- wouldn't you know it, the world's largest turkey sculpture is in Pete's home state of Minnesota -- specifically in Frazee, MN. The turkey is enormous: 22 feet tall and close to three tons, with 4,000 individual fiberglass feathers. He certainly flies like a "concrete" turkey would ... i.e., not at all, LOL. He does have a pointy head (as do all turkeys) and of course the requisite feathers on his butt. Pete could even have been hinting at the location in the first line of the riddle: "I *F*ly like a ReAliZEd Bourbon rEd" -- FRAZEE
In fact, Pete's key word "REALIZED" has all the letters of FRAZEE except the F.
The trouble is ... Tom the Turkey is too big. As far as I can tell, there is no precise 4" x 4" spot on or near the sculpture that one could point to and say "That's the spot." There is a stone bench in front of him, but that's still too big. Off to the right of the sculpture and the bench is a flag pole with an American flag flying, and a trapezoidal stone marker in front of it. But that stone marker is also way too large. I didn't bother submitting this to Pete since the location is insufficiently precise, and the answer doesn't seem to work with the clues "The Bourbon Red is the Rudolph of the bird family" or "Los Angeles Atlanta".

I’m very impressed with your solve. For what it’s worth, there are two turkeys in the town, the one you’ve identified and a smaller one at a gas station on Main Street.
My solve is in a different state, with emphasis on the LA Atlanta clue. I keep over-thinking the riddle. Should we identify the final question, (where am I) or the actual item. I hope someone wins soon.

Excellent -- I'm glad someone has already closed the book on that possibility. :-)
