(from the MW post on the cipher: The encrypted note was included with a word of thanks to the Penny family. After spending a few days visiting the Penny’s home, Edward and his wife, Caroline Alice, wrote to the Penny’s expressing their gratitude for the stay. Edward decided to enclose an encoded message especially for ‘Miss Penny’ who was the 22 year old daughter of the Penny family, and who Edward had become friends with.)
I've been working on it a little bit with no luck so far! I also can't seem to progress past the dorabella cipher. Since there is no definitive solve for the dorabella, it's hard to pinpoint which proposed method of solving should be used. As far as this month's hint, I"m assuming "unliving tongue" is alluding to Latin or another dead language.
Jumping in here after viewing the November clue. I solved the Dorabella but I'm still totally clueless! I submitted a long-shot guess, but I think I'll take another look at all the clues again tomorrow. As usual, I'm probably missing something obvious!
