I cannot download the images. Any suggestions? I'm not sure. I'm not having any issues. Could it be the browser you are using? Chrome? Firefox? Safari? Internet Explorer? Maybe try changing to a different one - I have found that sometimes works.
Does anyone who is more computer savvy have a suggestion?

Hello! Without posting your answer(s), how many of you have solved any of these, and how many have you solved.
I am embarrassed to admit that I have solved only one.

Question: Are these books and songs popular ones (meaning not obscure)? And I understand if you can not answer this!

Question: Are these books and songs popular ones (meaning not obscure)? And I understand if you can not answer this! Most of the books and songs were popular in their day and some continue to be popular today. There are a couple that are less known.
Clues on each 'image' can be to the topic, title, author, singer, publisher, record company, major character, or simply a hint that should help you narrow down the book or song you are looking for.
I will post a hint tomorrow.
Feel free to ask more questions, and good luck!

I have 2 so far, but I have seen a lot of hidden clues in the cards. Now I need to figure out if they are real clues or just my mind playing tricks on me.

This is a hint to image #1: 53 47 11 41 37 23 43 11 Good luck! I have had a few people say they don't want any hints yet, so I made this hint encoded. You can decide whether you want to use it right now or not. If you want to work through the clues on your own, you can just ignore this, but it's here for those who want it.

Question: Are these books and songs popular ones (meaning not obscure)? And I understand if you can not answer this! Not sure if I responded right. Not sure how to work these posts yet but I haven’t figured out a single one. Gonna probably need to review the solve and learn from it.

Question: Are these books and songs popular ones (meaning not obscure)? And I understand if you can not answer this! Not sure if I responded right. Not sure how to work these posts yet but I haven’t figured out a single one. Gonna probably need to review the solve and learn from it. Jen - Thank you for trying your hand at this puzzle. I don't want anyone to become discouraged. I've been working on a hunt for 10 years without a solution so I understand the frustration! Without giving up any answers, maybe it will help those who are stumped if you can see how I approached the puzzle. When I created each image, I started by knowing the 'word' I wanted for each pair and worked backwards from there. This word will be either in the title or will be the topic of the song/book. For example, if the word I am working with is CHINA, I might pick the 1977 song China Girl by Iggy Pop and the 1931 book, The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. Clues for China Girl might include a china teacup with a girl in it. The image might also include a lollipop and a bottle of soda pop for Iggy Pop. The 'B' side of China Girl is a song called 'Baby", so I might have a code indicating that, or the words under the date might be NEAT ONE 2, which would be 'neonate', or baby. The background might be a faded painting of cherry blossoms, associated with China. Clues for The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck might be a nature scene with a buck in it. A string of pearls. I might also include a coded reference to the Nobel Prize as the book won that award. The background might be an image from the original book cover. Together, the title China Girl and the topic of The Good Earth give you the word CHINA, although it doesn't specify if this means the porcelain or the country. Clues from the other images would help narrow this down. Clues can be to the title, the topic, the author or singer, the record company or publisher, the main character, or other things associated with the book or song I am looking for. It may not be immediately clear what the 'word' is, until you solve both parts of the pair. If you have solved The Good Earth, you don't really know if the word is Good, Earth (title), or China (topic). But it gives you something to use when searching for the answer to the paired clue. You will know it will tie in somehow with one of those words, but may be in the topic, not the title. I hope this helps those who are feeling stumped. There is still plenty of time to solve this so don't give up! Also feel free to post ideas here on the forum or PM each other to share ideas and work together.
And you can always send me your ideas for a thumbs up or down, just include the clues you used to get to that solution.
