Made some good progress on this hunt, but am stumped on #6. I'm glad you're making progress with the hunt.
From the messages I've received, it seems numbers 6 and 8 are proving the most difficult. If you have figured out #5, you know a word that might help you with #6 because they lead to the same word for the pair.
I will be adding another hint tomorrow.

This looks like a fun hunt, unfortunately I am in the UK so have no chance of the prize but I might have a little go at this anyway! If anyone wants to swap ideas let me know!

I will be posting another hint tomorrow. If anyone has a particular image they would like a hint to, please message me to let me know which one. The image with the most requests will be the one I post a hint for. If I don't receive any requests, I will select one at random.
So far, I have received multiple suggestions for different images, some correct, some not. I have three correct solutions to the entire puzzle, but I will be drawing winners from all solutions, so there is still time to get in on the drawing!
Thanks and I hope you are having fun with this.

This hint is for image 3, 1960 book.
My father's father had a son, And his son's father, too, had one. A family name, shared by birth The second of the second is the first of the first.
A brain-teaser, but hopefully it will help you unravel the clues.
Good luck!

Tomorrow I will have Jenny post a 2-image hint.
The first image will be a hint to the solution to the puzzle.
The second image was my original image for #5 (and why I ended up with #5 mislabeled!). It is not the same song as the current #5, but it is the same topic as the 5/6 pair. You can use this in place of #5, or in addition to it. It just gives you another path to the same answer for this pair.
Then after tomorrow, I will post a hint a day for the remaining images, numbers 2,4,5,7 and 8.

One more hint for an image. This one is for image number 5, 1953 song:
The two keys are in game
Also, these hints are to help interpret the images, not necessarily to the actual title of the song or book. There is still time to solve this. Good luck!

Today's hint is for image number 4:
Hum it. Find a friend who can read music. Everybody knows this song!
Or, GB 829.
This is already one of the most-solved images, but this should help if you are stuck!
Good luck!

The final hint for this hunt is for image number 7:
The eyes have it!
I hope the additional hints have helped with solving some of these images.
Please have your final answers submitted to me via messaging here on Mysterious Writings by the end of the day tomorrow, November 23. I will then put all correct answers in a hat and pull out the winning names.
Remember, to qualify for a prize, you don't need to solve every image, just have the word for each pair, the word for #7 and #8, and the event. If you have solved some but not all of the images, you may be able to find the event, and then fill in the remaining answers.
There is still time to qualify for a prize!
Good Luck!
