With just over a week to go before this hunt ends, I thought I would share some of the solutions I have come up with over the past year or so I have been working on this hunt. I shared my "Eden Solve" a while back, so the following posts will speak to other approaches I have taken. Hopefully they will spur some ideas from others or help someone else with their solution.
I will say upfront that I do believe it is worth focusing on the things we know. And of the things we know, I believe the six pages that fold to form the red and yellow compass roses must be incorporated into any approach to derive and/or solve the riddle. I take the C Masquerade Hint as the indication that folding pages is important. I believe the pages that form roses that aren't red and yellow are not relevant (or at least the roses are not relevant). Others may disagree, and I could certainly be wrong, but I this is probably the one thing I am most confident in.
With that said, and with the understanding that much of the information may be construed as "outside the book" or stretching logic or complete nonsense, please see the posts below from some approaches I took. Sorry the post are long but I figure at this point it was wroth providing more vs. less information.
(also, apologies in advance as the formatting did not translate well from my notes)

ABBE MUSEUMFold pages 5, 11, 19, 32, 40 and 47 to form red/yellow compass roses Take only the red letters from the two remaining border phrases to generate the riddle: ID DR LOCATE KEY Identify Dr. Robert Abbe and the two museums that bear his name (“Two Together”) Confirmers: p. 5 - The original Abbe Museum was at Sieur de Monts Spring
“Follows his nose” - Fandango’s nose points to SDM spring house The story for this illustration is the only one told in present tense; the sly fox never actually lost the key, he just said he did, so he still has the key and this illustration suggests his den, is near SDM springhouse
p. 7 POI is on a god, R(obert) A(bbe) is sun god 1653 - the year Oliver Cromwell was named Lord Protector (effectively king) of The British Isles He was buried in Westminster Abbey The museum is located near Cromwell Brook p. 11 • The stopwatch points to August Original museum opened in August 1928 • Gemini in the key and the middle of the page may hint to twin museums o Gemini touches “TH BE” in the map section to its left, hint to the ABBE o Gemini is right above the POI symbol o There are three blue blocks under Gemini; find the other three lines on the page = three red lines in the map sail of the boat in the upper right The red lines capture the letters RA • Yellow blocks in letter square = IN RA • Lighthouse red light could represent radiation and Abbe is considered the founder of radiation therapy in the U.S. p. 12 • Where Fandango meets Ripple the otter • “Ripple headed down a cove to where a creek tumbled into the sea.”. • Otter Cove is just south of SDM • Rt. 3 adjacent to SDM is called Otter Creek Dr. p. 17 • “Tradition carries” = located at the traditional (first) museum at SDM ? p. 19 • Last in line = E • One of Four = F o four letters in ABBE • FE = iron o The atomic number of iron is 26 o There are 26 mountain peaks in Acadia o Abbe Museum is located at 26 Mt. Desert St. o Interestingly the director of education at the museum is George Neptune • Museum founded in 1927 = first four numbers on lens • GPS coordinates of SDM Abbe Museum o 44°21'44.0"N 68°12'23.4"W o License plate 62-18 o 62-18 = 44 o One of four, last in line = 68 o Count to (two) three = 23 2nd and 3rd numbers = 21 • An eye reflects = 12 o p. 40 wheat shafts touch 16 and 5 = 21/12 o The new museum building was originally built in 1893 (1+8+9+3 = 21/12) It was opened as Abbe museum in 2001 = 21/12 o p. 40 clock is 21 hours when converted to 24 hour time o Fold the page left to right to form a compass rose reveals the numbers 62 and 23 in the border • 62 reflected is 26, the address of the Abbe Museum on Mt. Desert St. p. 40 • Two bees = aBBe • Red Rose tea o The Wabanaki people have a legend of a woman named Red Rose that becomes young and beautiful again every 100 years o Roman numeral C = 100 o Possible explanation of all the C’s • The hour and second hands of the clock both hit an X o XX = 20 o 20 = the amount the height of Dorr Mountain is incorrect o “Read a second time for good measure” • The two folds on the number grid point to 8 and 18 o 8+18 = 26 (Abbe Museum street number) p. 44/45 • RED/YELLOW acrostic = red sign w/ yellow letters = LUBEC o Anagram to C BLUE o Add the miles on all blue signs (including Sieur de Monts) = 49 Note letter/number substitution for the word ID is 94 (49 reflected) o Abbe museum in SDM is located at 49 Sweetwater Circle o All of the PI/circle references in the book could hint to the location being at Sweetwater Circle p. 47 • Left border phrase red letters are RA p. 55 • “Two Together” border phrase o There are two Abbe museums o B is 2nd letter of alphabet, two together = BB

SOLS CLIFF OVERLOOK
My first approach to this location got me halfway between the overlook and the bear den. My second approach took me to the valley just below the overlook
Use the star folds on p. 5, 11, 19, 32, 40, and 47 to form compass roses. Take only the red letters remaining after the star fold on pages 5, 11, 32 and 40.
On the orange border pages 19 and 47, take all the red letters. Pages 19 and 47 are the only star folds that don't use the right hand top and bottom stars suggesting you use them differently. The Red/Yellow/Book acrostic on p. 44 points to p. 30 which has an orange border. The yellow book touches the border and the visible letters (of Unsolved Mystery - nice!) anagram to "EVERY RED" suggesting you use every red letter on the orange border pages 19 and 47.
The letters obtained using that method anagram to ID RA BERR DIN LOCATE KEY. I take this to mean "find the bear den near Sol's Cliff Overlook."
The second approach used the compass rose pages and the acrostic formed by the last letters of the remaining border phrases “O EYES NOSE KEY.” Using page 5 run lines from the animals’ eyes through Fandango’s eye, then from the animals’ noses (don’t forget snakes smell with their tongue) through the tip of Fandango’s nose, and lastly from Fandango’s eye through the his nose. This picks letters that spell SOL GLEN. I took this to mean the small valley below Sols Cliff Overlook.
The longitude of the overlook can be found using the numbers on the camera lens using decimal degrees (-68.1927614), and the latitude comes from the clock on p. 40 (the second clock in the book that has a second hand - "read a second time for good measure") by translating it to 24-hour time (44 21' 45.7"). The latitude is also approximate to the latitude of Sieur De Monts Springs (p. 44 POI symbol). These coordinates put you approximately 100 feet (or 40 paces) South of the overlook. Perhaps it is not coincidence that the latitude 40 paces South of the overlook is found on p. 40, or that is almost exactly the Springs latitude and the Sieur De Monts road sign with the POI symbol is found in the illustration containing the 40 MPH sign.
Confirmers:
• Ra is the egyptian sun god, the greek god is Helios, the Roman equivalent is Sol (and Neptune is Roman mythology suggesting Roman vs. Greek [Poseidon] is what we want)
o And the “flag” on the cover is Romania
• The sun is “The Key to the Wind” - the title of the book
o I.e the answer to the riddle/location is on the cover of the book. Perhaps another homage to Masquerade where the first illustration shows the location of the treasure
• Wabnaki = people of the dawn = sun/sunrise
o MDI is a place known for being first in U.S. to see the sunrise
o Also note that the Abenaki sun god is Ki(key?)sosen represented by an eagle who opens his wings to start the day and closes them to bring on nighttime
• The start date of the hunt (07/29/2007) was a Sunday and ends on 11/26/2020, Thanksgiving which is a harvest celebration and Sol Indiges is the roman god of the harvest
• Fandango has two days to deliver the key (p. 46 “your second sun’s gone down”)
o Two suns = Ra + Sol
• The sun god is at the center of the zodiac calendar - surrounded by the 12 signs of the zodiac
• Solve = loves: LOVE is the last red letter word on p. 55 (V=5, E=5th letter of alphabet VE=55)
o SOL .. VE
• All the fire references could refer to the Sun/Sol
• Nod to Masquerade which required using the sun to find the treasure
• Number squares provide confirmation
o Grid on page 40: the upper left to lower right diagonal numbers sum to 19, same as the sum of all the paired p.17/40 numbers suggesting this diagonal is important. The diagonal two to its right also sums to 19.
Note the park was founded in 1919
o Use a simple number/letter substitution on the p. 17 number grid and focus on the same two diagonals that sum to 19 on p. 40. They spell out RA and SOL.
R (18) + A (1) = 19
o The reflection of the RA diagonal spells ID = ID RA
o Note also that the diagonal on p. 17 grid containing RA adds to 19. The diagonal on p. 17 grid containing SOL adds to 57. =1957, the same year as seen on the wine bottle on p. 30
Note there are 57 miles of carriage roads on MDI
o The critical diagonals run from the Northwest corner of the grid to the Southeast corner = the directions in the top/bottom border phrases on p. 23
o The right triangle on p. 11 points to the square that begins the word SOL in the p. 17 grid and 0 (starting point) in the grid on p. 40.
o The K not used on p. 17 grid corresponds to E in grid on p. 11 = KE = KEY
• Mountain height differences from shortest to tallest mountain are 1-1-8-1
o 1, 18, 1 = A RA
• There is a Sol’s cliff on MDI and a Sol’s Cliff overlook south of Bar Harbor on Park Loop Rd. near “a lake in the woods” - Beaver Dam - fed by Bear Brook
o p. 5 shows Sieur De Monts and a bear and Fandango’s nose points to the springhouse
If you fit Fandango image on p. 5 to the map on p. 56, Sols overlook would be on the right of his tail and the last line of p. 4 says “stay right on my tail”
o p. 7
X and C on the chest are the 3rd letters from the front and back of the alphabet; three letters in SOL
o p.11
shows a dotted line that goes to a figure 8; from Sol Overlook on the map on p. 56 there is a dotted line that goes to a figure 8 by SDM Spring and the POI symbol relative to the figure 8 on p. 11 is roughly the same location as Sol Overlook relative to SDM Spring on the map on p. 56
• The 8 and POI are within the key, follow the key to the block south of that portion of the triangle and the triangle touches the letter “O” and the letters “S” and “L” stand alone in the same block = SOL
Upper right map segment that is part of the boat sail, two red lines highlight RA (backwards)
o p. 16 text Fandango says “Look and ye shall find” is his motto
Phrase is normally “seek” not “look”; could be hint to an overlook
o p. 17
“all in a name”, rhyme/slant rhyme for S(all)OL
• Or maybe it just speaks to the solution being a name
The festival of Sol was held on Christmas and there is a roman numeral 12 (Dec.) on the newspaper
o p. 19
“Count to three” = three letters in SOL, three steps in the Fandango dance
o p. 23
Border phrase: “Raise the wind” = RA IS(e) THE WIND
i.e. the sun causes the wind
Middle of lobsterman’s shirt is RA
o p. 26
Border phrase “Follow the Light”
o p. 30
Harley says “the secret of the Land Beyond the Word” is “God” - perhaps alluding to A god rather than THE GOD
The POI book suggests we think about Myths and Legends
• Myth = Sol, Legend = ledge end = Cliff
The red book between the books with bookmarks was written by Locke = look = lookout
• Cast not a Stone = look in a stone
• It is across from the red book containing the word Atlas. The myth of Atlas has him banished to the Westernmost part of the Earth to hold up the sky, thus he became the celestial axis around which the heavens revolved much as the sun (SOL) is the center axis of the solar system.
• Maine is the easternmost point of the U.S. and Cadillac Mountain is the first place in the U.S. to see the sun rise and the Atlantic Ocean’s name that it looks upon is derived from Sea of Atlas.
• This west vs. east could explain the reversed East and West on the compass
o p. 32
Border phrase “Rise in a quest”
• As in sunrise
Last words on p. 30 are “raging fire” = sun
o p. 40
Wheat has two sheaths (R-A)
Three raspberries (S-O-L)
o p. 44
Montreal sign points to the Acadia license plate
• Acadia Mont Le Ra = Mountain of Ra = Sol’s Cliff
Lookout Point is the only sign with an arrowhead and it points to Fandango’s nose
• And could it also be an hommage to Masquerade where the sun and its shadow pointed you to the key?
“Tour with me” - Sols Cliff overlook (or 40 paces south of it) is outside the park according to the p. 56 map and located on a “tour” road
Sieur De Monts sign has POI symbol and mileage is 4, there are 4 words in the riddle
o p. 50
“The key is … King Neptune’s soul (Sol?)..”
o p. 51
Red and yellow stars on Fandango’s back - the two colors most associated with the sun
• These in addition to all the other red/yellow references throughout the book
o And all of the references to East could reference the sun and it rising
p. 6 1653 on treasure chest = FACE and E in the shipwreck boards hint to face east (toward sunrise) for the treasure
On the lock, the star could be a sun + all the stars in the constellations are suggestive of the sun
+ = compass rose; X = fold pages?, cross out blue letters?, C = see, * = sun
o The compass roses themselves are reminiscent of sun/stars
o Sol Indiges was also the roman god of the harvest - like Virgo, so could explain the wheat on the Old Lady Window, and Virgo holding the “C” on the key page could be see Virgo = see god of the harvest; same thing on fairy page = C on belt buckle below Virgo = see Virgo and Zodiose is pointing to the key
o The number squares
Using the square on p. 40, use simple number substitution to find the missing letters on p. 11 letter square
15 = O, 19 = S
Combine with the “L” that is the location of the POI symbol in the p. 40 square and you spell SOL
o The POI symbols
p. 7 Neptune’s Ring: Roman God
p. 11 Right triangle: covers the S and touches the L; also right above the map section that spells SOL
p. 30 Myths and Legends book: SOL = Roman myth, ledge end = cliff
p. 40 Number Square = L of SOL in letter grid on p. 11 and confirms use of number grids to answer/confirm the riddle
p. 44 Sieur de Monts Spring sign = Sol’s Cliff Overlook is almost due East of the spring, 4 miles = 4 words in riddle

I agree on that general area. Somewhere by the overlook, bears den, jackson lab, beaver dam pond, champlain mtn.
My initial thoughts were that it could be as simple as gps coordinates. The ones closest to that area are 44.3601671, -68.1927614. I was close but didn't check that exact spot.

This has been fun. Part of my research was to read up on how masquerade was solved. The main clues were given right up front and I think Fandango will be the same way.
Masqerade also had red herrings, meaningless pictures, and little surprises such as Kit Williams including one of his friends names in an illustration. Again, I think the Stockwells have done something similar with "Cohen" on the proud old fops newspaper.

I was able to anagram the words locate and key with those missing letters but I never thought of ID DR. That seems really good. Also, I wonder if it could be ID F DOOR if you use the blue letters too. George Dorr was the son of Charles F Dorr and is supposedly the father of Acadia. He’s the one who built the spring house in Sier De Mont springs and had a plaque there. If this was the clue I think it would be pointing to the ruins of his old estate at old farm compass harbor. Besides for the obvious clues of Compass in the story, there’s also a lot of the other same connections that you talked about, especially with Sols cliff being right nearby. Parts of the estate are still in the forest and would probably provide a great spot to hide the key.

One of the other connections I found was that Old Farm Estate was 58 acres and the book is 58 pages with the final message to the reader have 58 words.
Mr proud old fop can anagram to door pond old farm.

Parts of the estate are still in the forest and would probably provide a great spot to hide the key. DORR POINTUse the information to identify Sols Cliff as mentioned in the Overlook solution above but move to the actual Sols Cliff Use the star fold page red letters to anagram to KEY IN DORR BARNACLED SITE p. 17 “One of four” = F, “last in line” = E Fe = iron Dorr Point looks out to Ironbound Island There are also some iron bars near/around the swimming hole on the Compass Harbor side p. 30 “Open the Door(Dorr)” p. 56 The compass rose points to Dorr Mountain Note Dorr Mt. height (1250) is off by more than any other (20) relative to its actual height (1270) Dorr Point is located just below Compass Harbor Search for the rose = compass rose = compass Compass Harbor is just south of Cromwell Cove and Cromwell relates to 1653 on p. 7 treasure chest as noted above Note the Compass Harbor Trail looks like the zodiac sign for Taurus (found in right triangle on p. 11) GPS 44°22'33.0"N 68°11'33"W Puts you at Dorr Point/Compass Harbor and uses the p. 19 lens numbers for longitude Note if longitude is 68°11'33"W then it puts you at the North West (p.23) corner of Dorr’s dock/swimming hole and the decimal GPS is 68.192500 w/ 1925 being the date on the bridge on the fire page "Count to three" "Now Smile" - the GPS is all 1s and 2s and 3s
The page 19 red letter word is "Reflection" (the minutes and seconds are all the same forward and backward) and the p. 47 red letter word is "Harbor".

BASS HABOR HEAD LIGHTHOUSE
Use the six star fold pages and "Numbers Ope Hcidfen Treusre Ridlde." Note that only the word "Numbers" is spelled correctly and since numbers are what open the riddle use letter/number substitution on "NUMBERS" to get 14, 21, 13, 2, 5, 18, 19.
Use those numbers to pick letters from the border phrases on the six star fold pages. Count to each number from where the star folds meet and move clockwise, except on p. 19 where "an eye reflects" informs you to move counter-clockwise. On p. 47, flip the page "upside down" before you start your count so that you move clockwise from the NE corner just as on pages 5, 11, 32 and 40.
This picks letters that provide the following riddle:
Sol O' Sea E at sign In elm at ark I sit W at a tea Head up W
Here we find Sol yet again. I continue to like this because Sol/Ra is found all over the place in the book (with my favorite being the diagonals of the number squares on p. 17). and because Sol = sun and the sun is literally "The Key to the Wind." I thought it would be clever if the "master riddle" were simply the title of the book and staring us in the face the entire time.
Sol O' Sea = sun of the sea = lighthouse Head up W = Bass Harbor Head lighthouse on the western side of the island (and a nice "reflection" of the typical "down east"). E at sign = the sign noting the Coast Guard sign at the lighthouse In elm at ark I sit = there used to be a row boat at the sign (not sure it is still there) and a boat = an ark, so look to the East for an elm tree W at a tea = not sure, maybe there is a fork in the path, or maybe the "T" of the flagpole there (that matches the flagpole on p. 17)
Confirmers: p. 7 there is a 32 on the dolphins head on the right - the lighthouse is 32 feet tall p. 16 "Keep your head, that's my motto" = allusion to Bass Head and lighthouse's have keepers. p. 19 "count to three" = the Coast Guard # for the lighthouse is 12335

Ledgelawn Cemetery
The treasure chest on the p. 7 has an X, a cross, a C and a * giving you instructions to fold the page to form the compass rose on pgs 5, 11, 19, 32, 40, 47 then cross to the opposite side of the rose and move in a C around the other three border phrases. Lots of reflections and backwards items in the book, so move counterclockwise around the C.
Abnaki's rug pattern on p. 32 also shows you how to move around the page.
Pages 5, 11, 32, and 40 therefore all start from the SW corner. Pages 19 & 47 have different compass rose locations. Page 19 rose joins the NW and NE stars suggesting you start with the SE corner, but since it is reflected, start with the SW corner. Page 47 joins the NW and SW stars, but you need to flip it "upside down" to have it match pages 5, 11, 32, and 40 so you start at the NW corner.
If "numbers open hidden treasure riddle", then which ones? There are a lot in the book, but use an Occam's razor approach and use the simplest: "count to three" "now smile". So on the "1-2-3" border phrases that form the C on the six compass rose pages count in a 3 step (just like the Fandango dance) and take every 3rd letter.
This produces the following riddle:
Rough of Eden
His fee I owe
A truth he loved.
A park I seek
It hid a rose
And your ruin.
Rough of Eden = Kebo Valley country club His Fee I Owed = the fee Fandango owed for not delivering the key was his life = a cemetery, and Ledgelawn borders the golf course A Truth He Loved = the key, p. 10 "a present truer than all that's true" It Hid a Rose = look for a rose, compass rose, or someone named Rose And Your Ruin = I took this to mean the De Grasse Fox headstone (p. 7 Neptune's triton touches DE in the border)
GPS: The postscript "To Deicy" points to the two dice on p. 45 that sum to 12. That page also says "To The Highest Point" and the highest sign reads 31. That gives you the longitude of Ledgelawn: 68°12'31.0"W
On page 55 the border phrases instructs "Forever Held" and "Two Together." Two(s) together = 22 and if they are "held" by "fore(s)" (Forever held is the only border phrase repeated) then you get the latitude of Ledgelawn: 44°22'44.0"N.
If you want to "read a second time for good measure" and add the seconds of the clocks on p. 11 (5) and p. 40 (58) after the decimal of the latitude and longitude, respectively this puts you just inside the iron fence under a tree.
p. 30 there are bookmarks in two books, but only one has a title = Myths and Legends = ledge end This book also carries a POI symbol The green book to the right of these books shows a key Draw a line from the key and it touches “C” in the border phrase and hits the word Legends on the gray book with the POI symbol = C LEGENDS = for the key; see ledge end = the end of Ledgelawn cemetery
Note that DeGrasse Fox was born on August 23. The clock on p. 11 points to August. Aug. 23rd is the start of the astrological sign Virgo. The headstone has a circle around a cross resembling the POI symbol.
Note also that Ledgelawn is on Cromwell Harbor Rd. and on the date of the p. 7 chest (1653) Oliver Cromwell was named Lord Protector of the British Isles.

Cadillac Mountain
I have always dismissed this as a location because, like Bass Head Harbor Lighthouse, it seems too obvious. One illustration (p. 44/45) and one border phrase ("to the highest point") would take you right there without any work at all. And of course, it's in the park, so there's that.
But all the Sol references, and if The Key To The Wind is the sun's warming of water and surface temperatures, then why not hide it at the place in Acadia best know for its relation to the sun. And Cadillac is a big place so just knowing it is on the mountain wouldn't help you find it without a lot of luck.
So here is one of the more elegant solutions I worked out. I like it because it uses all the elements that we know:
C Masquerade Hint Fold pages 5, 11, 19, 32, 40 and 47 to form red/yellow compass roses
Red Yellow Book p. 30 ISBN number corresponds to a real book called "Against All Odds" Use only the odd compass rose pages (note all of the odd page numbers are prime numbers) The even numbered pages are red herrings pgs. 32 and 40 are the only two where the inner borders overlap when the rose is formed pg. 11, the inaccurate yellow key in the middle of the top right piano suggests that the yellow border page 40 is "not key" Why focus on this piano rather than the one on the bottom left? When you fold the page this piano is still exposed - keep this in mind for reasons fleshed out further down pg. 32 "Smoke Signals" suggests a red herring and the illustration, like yellow border p. 15, uses pastels rather than paint
Also note that while there are six POI symbols on the p. 56 map, only four are labeled. Similarly, there are six pages that form compass roses, but only four are relevant.
Numbers Open Hidden Treasure Riddle This has always been curious. There are so many numbers in the book, how are we supposed to know the relevant ones to use? There has to be a clue somewhere. How about going back to that keyboard on p. 11 that your eyes are drawn to after you fold the page. Now take your eyes off that colorful piano and look to the East. You find the Greek letter Phi. Phi is "A Measure of Gold" as it is the symbol for the Golden Ratio that explains an oddly large amount of the structure of nature.
Now go back to the piano. If the keys were correct on the piano that middle yellow (gold) key would be an F. Perhaps a hint to Fibonnaci whose famous number sequence relates to the Golden Ratio. The sequence takes the prior two numbers in the sequence to get the next, so its 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13 etc. The sequence goes on to infinity, but let's stop at 13 since the hunt is 13 years long. You can find the other numbers of the sequence in the illustrations as well: 1,1 = the dice on p. 45; 1,2 and 2,3 can be seen on the bridge on p. 32 among other places. My favorite is 3,5,8 which can be found if you "read a second time" with the p. 11 second hand at 3 seconds and the p. 40 second hand at 58 seconds (maybe that's 57 seconds, but see further down for confirmation that it is 58).
As noted in the Ledgelawn post above, I take all those "C's" sprinkled throughout the book to mean we need to follow a C pattern when picking letters and only use three of the border phrases on each page. On the four odd pages, each has three sequential border phrases that together contain 33 letters. Why is 33 important? Add the numbers in the Fibonnaci sequence above and they sum to 33. Pick letters in in order of the sequence. The first letter is 1, the next letter is the second 1, move down the border phrase another 2 letters and continue in that pattern and you will end your count on the letter "last in line" of the "C."
This will pick 7 letters which is nice because it helps eliminate the pesky issue of anagramming with a bunch of letters as 7 vastly limits the number of possibilities. Also, p. 7 shows the treasure chest: X=fold the pages to find the * then +(add) a C. Additionally, 7 is the "last in line" of the number grid on p. 40. And maybe to let us know we are on the right track there is a clue. Head back to p. 44 and the Red Yellow Boo(n)k. Maybe the book isn't the only red yellow thing we should pay attention to. Find the red sign with yellow letters. LUBEC 77 = Clue B 77. And if you flip back to the map page, there are actually 7 POI symbols if you include the one in the legend ("C ledge end" noted in one of the solutions earlier).
If we want more clues that we are on the right track, well, remember that the sequence adds to 33 and there are 33 letters in the C pattern on each page. The end date of the hunt (Nov. 26) is the 330th day of the year. Also, those seconds on the clocks that give us the 3, 5, 8 of the sequence? The degrees between those angles is 330. And finally, have you ever wondered why there are extra stars on two of the pages? Who know the purpose, but by including them, we end up with 330 star points.
After picking the letters I end up with the following riddle:
Off a pew Seek a FE Ones on C Sunny Vu
Note that this riddle ends up being a quatrain which is how the vast majority of Fandango is written. The rhyme scheme is "reflected" - i.e. ABBA. Note also there are 11 words and p. 11 is the Key page.
Off a pew A pew is another name for a bench. Find the geological survey benchmark marking the highest point of Cadillac Mountain (44 21' 04.8"N, 68 13' 56"W).
Seek a Fe "One of four" = F, "last in line" = E, Fe = iron. Find an iron marker "off" or near the benchmark. This is either the single iron rung on the Cadillac Mountain South Ridge trail or the iron ringbolt located to the Northeast of the benchmark (44 21' 09"N, 68 13' 26"W).
Ones on C I like the ringbolt as it is shaped like a C and if you look at pictures of its location, it looks similar to the rock pattern on the p.44/45 Cadillac Mountain illustration and would be approximately where the shadow from the stone ("cast not a stone") ends.
Sunny Vu This is the indication that the benchmark you're looking for is on Cadillac

Ledgelawn CemeteryThe treasure chest on the p. This produces the following riddle: Rough of Eden His fee I owe A truth he loved. A park I seek It hid a rose And your ruin. 7 Neptune's triton touches DE in the border) GPS: The postscript "To Deicy" points to the two dice on p. 45 that sum to 12. That page also says "To The Highest Point" and the highest sign reads 31. That gives you the longitude of Ledgelawn: 68°12'31.0"W On page 55 the border phrases instructs "Forever Held" and "Two Together." Two(s) together = 22 and if they are "held" by "fore(s)" (Forever held is the only border phrase repeated) then you get the latitude of Ledgelawn: 44°22'44.0"N. If you want to "read a second time for good measure" and add the seconds of the clocks on p. 11 (5) and p. 40 (58) after the decimal of the latitude and longitude, respectively this puts you just inside the iron fence under a tree. p. 30 there are bookmarks in two books, but only one has a title = Myths and Legends = ledge end This book also carries a POI symbol The green book to the right of these books shows a key Draw a line from the key and it touches “C” in the border phrase and hits the word Legends on the gray book with the POI symbol = C LEGENDS = for the key; see ledge end = the end of Ledgelawn cemetery Note that DeGrasse Fox was born on August 23. I couldn't agree more about this location and I have walked around looking a few times. I've paced the 40 south and even north from DeGrasse Fox's tombstone and have not been disrespectful at all. This was an area I was meaning to check out for other reasons. Those GPS coordinates are close to the Old Dorr Bike Path. This is an area that has interested me for a while. I can check this out today on my lunch break from JAX. Poe So I did check this area out today and found nothing. Those coordinates are on a pretty steep rock face which had some ice on them today. Poe
