That’s a good tip, thanks.

The thread "Single Page of Treasure Hunts" shows the original versions of the hunt images. In some cases, these original versions are less compressed and more readable than the versions that ended up in the consolidated PDF. In this particular case, it does look like you might be able to read the text under the Polaroid more clearly in the image for this hunt that can be found in that thread. I've also noticed this to be the case in a few other hunts as well. Disclaimer: I don't know anything about this specific hunt or whether those numbers/letters mean anything or not. Thanks for the tip, I was struggling with resolution on some of the pdf.'s (contradicting my earlier statement of "if it ain't crystal clear, probably not important").

Can anyone make out the numbers at the bottom of the photograph? While I agree that the numbers at the bottom of the photograph are probably unimportant, should anyone feel like jumping into that particular rabbit hole, the sequence reads "2011G470517".

I had been thinking the lion who could fly but reads instead is possibly St. Mark's lion. It's a lion with wings who holds a book. Fits with the 'scripture in hand' bit as well as the lion things. Re'mark'ably hard to find statues of this in the states, though

That's the path I've been on, most are in Venice, but there are a few in the states. I have found a good spot that fits the beginning stanza, but picking up with the triangle and the spire is not fitting so well, so I have my doubts.

I found a lot of these lions in the US on places called St. Mark's - churches, cathedrals (with spires) and schools. There is an exact replica of the one in Venice in Vegas in front of the Venetian Resort.
I also found place that fit well with everything in the poem (except the lion), including the spires and the triangle. There were lions, just not winged reading ones. And not much from the pictures fit (only the photo of the lion), so back to the drawing board.

Yup, spent a lot of time in virtual Venice, even found a building relief of an Eagle holding a snake in it's talons, but couldn't verify the 18th to wear the crown etc. (plus, it's in Venice). I believe the correct location will ultimately validate all of the clues, not just a majority. Happy Hunting!!

I found a location that fits the first four lines, but the rest are shaky at best. I'm curious...without revealing too much about your solution, does anyone have a solution where the ballet and parasol/umbrella fit? And has anyone made heads or tails of the symbol on the animal's face? It looks like a garden layout to me.

I've been poking around an area where this all fits: ballerina spires guarding triangle enemy of the snake tomes above and below lion reading 18th to wear the crown
But it's not the right solution.

Anyone else notice the "mistake" on the sixth line? Is it a mistake, or might it be a clue?

On the neck of the angel/ballerina there's some faint letters. Can anyone identify them?

Completely illegible.
I tried to figure out if the black splotches on the neck of the animal where the nose of the rabbit is pointing represent a country. Got nowhere with that.

Did y'all notice that the lion has an extra toe?
