Is there anything that would be irrelevant now that Galavant has been found - i.e. something specific that would only be seen botg? (For random example: You're botg on the right trail and see a tree with a lantern then go into the woods at the 10 o'clock position to find the stump where Galavant was hidden...) Or can everything on the picture be figured out with research and google maps? I have an area I'm looking into but can't quite place a couple of things, so wondered if they were things that I'd have to physically see for myself....I'm probably way off, but thought I'd ask the question. Thanks for the clarification.

Skdaizy,
People are getting closer and closer so you might want to send in your solution because if you're within 500 feet you win. There are things in the image that can only be seen BOTG but that won't stop you from getting to the right place. Happy Hunting.

Stop the presses and put down your phones! The spot that Galavant was hidden at has been located!!
The winning solution submitted had Galavant at a location 380 feet from where he was hidden well over a year ago, clearly within the parameters "within 500 feet" as specified after the hunt changed from "Boots on the Ground" to "Armchair" treasure hunt.
Deidra and I are very excited to bring you more info and announce the winner after we're able to make contact but congrats to them!!
Thanks to everyone that gave our treasure hunt a shot, we hope you had fun with it!!
If anyone wants to listen to the phone message that was decoded from the artwork you can call it at 496-673-1347 to listen to the step by step instructions that led to the spot Galavant was hidden at. Thanks again for playing!! ✌

Anyone want to share their guesses before the solution comes out?
I was mainly looking at areas named after Davy Crockett in North Texas.
I ventured into Wild Bill territory (MO and Deadwood, SD) for a spell, bc of the watch and the "black hills", but that raccoon, and a few other things, kept luring me back to Texas.
How 'bout Y'all? Where were your solutions/best guesses?

I like your Crockett idea with the raccoon.
S University Drive/Iron horse trail in Fort Worth made it hard for me to get out of that area and more into the Louisiana Purchase territory to the North! The old Grapevine railroad ended in that area, too (sour clue). Looked into Jefferson, McKinney and New Boston. So many old iron horses in Texas!

I started out near the Nat'l Forrest, but couldn't figure out if it was in or out of the Purchase boarder. I kept getting that "King of the Wild Frontier" song stuck in my head, lol. Oddly enough there is a Lake Crockett near the town of Telephone Texas but I just couldn't figure out the ONE thing, lol, trail one, campground one, agh! - my first solution was actually a phone museum in St. Louis bc it had a 1 in the address and MO had one of the 1st telephone exchanges, haha. But my heart kept telling me TX so we'll see - I want to be "right" but not tooooo right, so I don't kick myself for overlooking something,

I was looking at the Raccoon River Valley bike trail and wasn't focusing on Texas for the most part, but now I believe it is in Texas. Too many clues pointing that direction.

Congratulations to the winners of "A Funny Little Dream" Desireé Hood, Sean Cronin and Gir Grubert!! They discovered that Galavant The Gnome was hidden on the Trail de Paris in Paris, Texas!! Yea! Congrats! This was a fun one! I was 50 miles off, not 500 feet, lol, so I'll accept that and my pride can rest easy knowing I was "kinda" going in the right direction (sometimes), but not quite. hahaha Looking forward to the full explanation of clues!
