The location of the key has been found. Unfortunately, the key itself has not been located. Logic says that one of three things has happened.
A. A curious animal, be it dog, cat, squirrel, or some other has removed the key or otherwise unearthed the key and moved it.
B. A person other than a searcher in the hunt, has found it. Perhaps a child playing hide and seek, a groundskeeper at the location, or even a hobbyist metal detector has removed the key.
C. An actual searcher with knowledge of the location, may have removed the key and has not claimed the treasure.
In any event, they key is no longer in its original hidden location.
I am now forced by nature and requirement of the original disclaimer, to cancel all further sales of the book, ‘It’s In Los Angeles, A Treasure Hunt’
While, I understand that this may be a disappointment for many who were or have been in pursuit of the key and the treasure associated with it, I can assure you that no one is more disappointed than myself as this has been a huge part of my life for the last two years and this outcome was never what I intended when producing this hunt.
As time now permits I will be producing another treasure hunt. Details to follow.
Please also understand that I know many of you have spent many hours solving the clues and some actually putting boots on the ground in the search. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I still hope that you were able to enjoy solving the clues and entertaining your individual solves in whatever form you chose.
In the event that a searcher has found the key and has not yet contacted me with the number engraved on the key, I am giving the finder the next 48 hours to identify themselves and claim the treasure. The only contact to place the claim will be through the phone number provided in the solved portion of the book, It’s In Los Angeles, A Treasure Hunt. After that time the hunt and treasure will no longer be available.
Remember that while no purchase is required to claim the treasure, the claimant must have the book in his or her possession at the time they claim the treasure. The deadline for claiming the treasure is now set at 4:00pm Pacific Standard Time Saturday April 3rd. As per the disclaimer, it is the sole responsibility of each searcher to stay up to date on the available information through either social media, email, or other postings.
