The hunt has launched:
The objective is to find both parts of the geode in France and the United-Kingdom in order to rebuild the key that opens the treasure chest. To find these hidden geode parts, you must solve a number of puzzles and riddles which lead to their position. You will have every chance if you possess the right tools! The tools are the following:
▶24€90: The book contains puzzles, tales and paintings full of mysteries…
▶17€95: The map, essential to determine the position of the geode parts…
▶4€95: The adventurer’s notebook, a downloadable PDF on the websites, a supplement enabling you to get on the right track for the geode…
▶ You can also purchase quills representing Emile Loubet and Edward VII which come in useful.

Does this suggest the story itself does not hold clues....it's just text to supply the riddles? And so it's riddles and images again like The Golden Owl? What do you think?
Yes, I'm afraid it is exactly that! Here's a quote from the chapter "How to find the treasure?" of the book itself: This book. It includes 9 puzzles. Each of these puzzles is made up of a picture and of a poem that is hidden in the tale of the Edrei. The first thing to do is to reconstruct these poems, then to resolve the encryption that allows it to be completed and finally to interpret its indications. A single "_" is a clue to indicate that a part is missing and you need to complete. In fact, the tale of the Edrei is only a pond of letters and you have to fish out what makes up the poems. An annoying, tiresome, error-prone task which I wish they'd have spared us. You can read and enjoy the tale, but it leaves the feeling the the whole thing is only there to make the book thicker. If they had printed the poems and the pictures, like in the Golden Owl, it would be just 18 pages.

Just a thought on the legal status of the treasure www.thegoldentreasureoftheententecordiale.com/page/the-treasure/enI'm sure it's fine as it wouldn't have been sold at auction in 2017, but it was a gift made in 1904 from either the British state or monarchy, to the French state. Not the president Loubet as a private individual?! Whereas it seems Loubet then took it away and proceeded to hand it down, keeping ownership within his family. Is this legal ownership definitively set out by a French court, the last thing we need is to find it, then have a retrospective claim from the French state to it!

In France, the law does not present any specific provision regarding gifts between heads of state and between official delegations, even if it is customary that only "personalized" gifts are kept. And only since 2011, the National Assembly has adopted a code of ethics intended to prevent conflicts of interest and to remind members of the rules of good conduct for parliamentarians. These regulations stipulate that all parliamentarians must submit, at the start of their mandate, a declaration of interests and activities to the ethics officer of the National Assembly and to the High Authority for the transparency of public life.

Thanks yes I emailed the people, they responded saying they had it in writing from the French government that they're free to give it away, so all good.
Order on the way, no. 1470. Presumably that's how many have bought it through the site, allowing for others say 2000 so far? If you'll indulge my poker background, that gives an Expected Value EV of £650k/2000 = £325. Not too bad for £50 investment, now just to put in the hours to have a decent shot at finding it!

Still a long way to go and hope you enjoy.....probably best just to start with the UK puzzle which is completely separate from the French one and if you need a few early hints do let me know, as I can't stand some of the people who will not share anything
