Hi everyone, I came across those puzzles recently and would like to have your opinion on my theory. I paired the image 9 with verse 10.
I made a little video to demonstrate that one casque might have been buried in a precise location where the grey giant was in the early 80's. But this sculpture is now in another location, and the original place does not look the same at all today. Some people already told me about some Japanese hints that might be invalidating my theory, but any constructive analysis would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Nice! OK, let's assume you have the right verse and the right V... One Japanese hint says: 'it’s a device that needs human power to move'. Does a car need human power to move, in some way or another? Other observations: 1) The 'flower bed' only had trees in it, I think. We see them well in this 1978 photo (look near the V): www.flickr.com/photos/expomuseum/6584245283/in/photolist-b2PYJp2) From Verse 10: In summer You'll often hear a whirring sound. In your theory, this should mean that Preiss thought that, often during Summer, there were cars on the racing track. Makes sense, I guess. 3) The Isle of B. The Biosphère is iconic, but I think it was called the Buckminster Fuller Dome, in the 80's (I may be wrong, here). Still works with the B, though. :-) But I'd need to do more research on that. 4) You could say that the steps that lead to the sculpture are shown on the book's image, if you rotate it 180 degrees. Congrats, keep hunting!
