Has the Japanese Tea Garden or somewhere near it, been considered as possible location? In the image looking at the right side of her hair I see strong references to Japan. I see: 1. A Japanese beetle 2. A bone representing the Japanese bone dance 3. Mr. 1980 himself, Pac-Man. Created in Japan 4. A water fountain. Rideout Fountain is across the street from the tea garden. The shape of the dragon to me also spells the word lemon, which is commonly used with tea. Lastly the south entrance to the tea garden looks similar to what is seen on the front of her dress near the neckline.

I tried the Image 1 with V10 for Japanese Tea Garden once. It works well. Peace lantern (v), Buddha's statue (Indie), Hard word (SidDHARtha), 3 Vols. (Tripitaka), Isle of B. (Buddha Island). BTW the dragon could read "Ellis". Just to connect the bookend images. www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=130380169

Yes, I can see how verse 10 could work. I really like - Hard word (SidDHARtha), 3 Vols. (Tripitaka). Also the kind of think the buddha statue and the woman from the crossed arms up look similar in shape. Just take away the long curly hair and they would very much look alike. If the dragon does spell Ellis, that would make sense to me. I kind of think that is where the casque is for New York.

Another thing that caught my eye were the washroom signs on the Music Concourse. The sign for the Men’s washroom is a triangle and the Women’s washroom sign is a circle! Those are universal shape symbols for washrooms in the U.S., totally something Byron would use in a puzzle. 40 years of staring at washroom signs in a painting, unreal! There are 2 planters on the back side of the Music Concourse between the washrooms, maybe the squares in the image symbolize them as well?
Spirals on the Music Concourse corners are also similar to the rose stem in the image. In fact, many of the architectural features of the Music Concourse are similar to features in the painting.
Interesting stuff, you may be onto something…

Further investigation into the washroom signs….invented in California by a man named Sam Genesky around late 70s-early 80s so the location and timeframe fit. These are known as California Title 24 Geometric Restroom Door signs.

Good catch on the bathroom signs, I didn't notice those. They definitely help the theory that this could be the area.

After watching the EU episode about the Secret I was excited to checkout the painting for SF and the first thing came to my mind, as most people was the map resembling GGP. Her haloed/outlined head reminded me of the moon bridge in the Japanese Tea Garden AKA Hagiwara Garden (HG). I'm very familiar with that area since I used to take my skateboard to the park every weekend as they used to close the roads "in summer" for skaters (whirring sound). After a bit of research online I found the tourist map with the lake around Buddha statue that looks like the Genie lamp in the image. Dali's "Meditative Rose" and Buddha statue with halo made sense. Moon bridge was my dig area then because of "image match". Many probed there since and they all commented that there's no place to bury a cask since it's all either covered with water or stones. [ADDED:] Fun fact. There are 11 baluster posts on each side of that bridge. 11 balusters, 11 luster balls! Tourist Map, Genie lamp looking lake around Buddha Island. Peace Lantern similar to the table including JJP's signature as base. Image similarity: quest4treasure.co.uk/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=770&start=3618Buddha: goo.gl/maps/Ftu7GyUpyttHNL5V6Moon Bridge: goo.gl/maps/NAasvSjr7qWTZ3Bu8Peace lantern: goo.gl/maps/sXKY9J8xnnrXUmTXAImage match/dig area? goo.gl/maps/HPHKvMP6Dm5BNcm88I'm posting the image in this orientation so the shadows of the bridge ribs are more relatable.

Now that makes sense, keep it going. I can see that stone work tie in to the NYC image

Yes, this would definitely give credence to the circle and triangle shapes being restroom markers.

Here is another field guide image. Does the Philharmonic Orc represent the music hall stage and telling us to exit stage left to the treasure spot.

Phil does kind of look like Gary! As you can tell I believe the images from the field guide are important to the solve. This is one of the images I have trouble relating to any puzzle. Maybe it does reference that part of San Fran.
