So its been some time since the solution was posted and there was alot of mixed feelings about it. Alot of those feelings were directed at the book not containing enough information to get you to those final coordinates. Ive recently gone through the book and discovered that on pg 7, there is a chest with 4 symbols. After finding those 4 symbols throughout the book, i discovered that they all appear on pages that have information that leads you to coordinates. Along with that, there several other clues to coordinates throughout the book. Before i get into the symbols, let me list those other clues:
Other clues:
1) The sextant- this is found on Harley's shelf. This tool is used specifically for finding coordinates
2) The globe- It shows Latitude and longitude.
3) DMS on the camera page. This is an abbreviation for Degrees, Minutes, and Seconds
4) Lost in time- This is a quote shown on the fire page. DMS is a time based coordinate
5)Numbers open Riddle- The hint to use the stars to point to the borders is found on the lobster page. The man talks about finding his way by looking at the sky. This is a hint to using stars to navigate. If you follow the colored bouys on his page and count from the indicated red brick in the lower right, you will land on bricks that are in the exact spot that the stars triangulate to on that page. Of course, the riddle hints to using coordinates to solve the puzzle
Onto the symbols on the chest:
1) The C- The C found on the chest is first seen on the fairy page, found on the belt of Zodiose. Zodiose is seen to have various zodiac signs on his outfit(Virgo is right above his belt). Also on this page is the moon. The other C symbol is found on the collage page being held up into the air by Virgo. Whats also on this page is a component (seconds) need for the final coordinate, and what a coincidence that the clock needed is on a moon phase watch, linking back to the Zodiose page
2) The X- The X is found on the sweater of the old dame. On her page is the other clock that is used for seconds for the final solve.
3) The Compass- The compass on the chest links to the compass on Harleys page. On this page is where you find the Red 44 and yellow 68 needs for the degrees for the final solve.
4) The Signpost- The signpost on the chest is represented by the signposts on The Cadillac Mountain page. This is where we discover the phrase RED YELLOW BOOK, which is a hint to the red and yellow compass in the back of the book that hints for you to match up stars by folding pages which makes certain stars become red and yellow, thus giving you the needed minutes for the solution. Also on this page is a watch on Sam's hand, but its not showing seconds, only minutes.
At first, I thought this all may be coincidental. That was until i also followed the cross symbols. The first cross was found on Neptunes ring, which is where the chest with 4 symbols are. The other crosses are all on the pages i have described above: The collage page, The Cadillac page, Harley's page, and the Dame's page
In closing, Im glad i went through this book again on a rainy day during the pandemic. To me, it is clear the author gave us a ton of info to point to DMS coordinates. Sure, HUNTERS COVE was never spelled out in the solution. This obviously would require a hunter to take a leap of faith to explore the coordinates.
Some would say they would never have known to look between the two big rocks at the site. To this, I feel he described the rocks on Abnaki's pants. The code on his pants is C1X and then two rocks . We already know C and X are both on pages that give us the seconds to the coordinates. The 1 leads up to the smoke rings that lead you to the 2 W on the bridge. 2 seconds West is the seconds needed. Seconds is what narrows you down more specifically. And the two rocks??? Well that's what you needed to find.

In the end, after a hindsight look, it was all there, IMO. It just needed a leap of faith to go look.
