Leave the center, find the fruit.
First fruit in pacman is a cherry. First chapter in the book is black heart cherry.
Supposed goal of the book is to find a key. Highest fruit level of pacman is the key.
Other pacman fruits are oranges and apples and are mentioned in the book.
Book mentions paths, mapped routes, and tunnels, all part of pacman game play.
Two Dogs (chpt 3) is clearly about the ghosts that are gobbled up by pacman and return to their ghost cage ( i.e. under the porch) to recuperate and come out again.
In Grandfather's Office (chpt2), the map, representing the pacman maze, is held up by three tacks, representing the number of pacman lives in a game.
Full Moon (chpt 4) mentions "countless damaged men with their innards full of only cherries ..." which is reference to pacman players who died early in the first round.

Are people still doing this hunt? Started up again just recently. Would love to collab with anyone. A new Discord server is up for discussion all sorts of hunts. Find me on there if you want to brainstorm! discord.gg/wvBqXSAa

Very interesting theory I think this is very creative and possibly describes the maze like navigation required to get around of a city. I didn’t spend much time playing PacMan, but it is certainly a classic, iconic game. Take a look at a map of Philadelphia if you have a chance. Amazingly, there are lots of fruity streets in the museum area that a PacMan could devour. On the map that I like ( Rand McNally), three orange boxes mark the convention center. There are tunnels, and one way streets- including a Spring Garden and Winter Street.
