Congratulations to Josh Ellingson, Craig Heinen, Zak Rexford, and Matt Ludvigson, who traveled from their homes in Minnesota to Upper Eau Claire Lake in Barnes, Wisconsin—and uncovered the second Heartland Stone! The gem was planted on September 18, 2020 on Three-In-One Island—in the hollow stump of a fallen birch tree. This morning, 436 days later, Ellingson retrieved it from its hiding spot, with his teammates on hand to celebrate the victory. As a registered hunter, Josh claims the full $750 reward for his find! Congratulations again to Mr. Ellingson! — a workhorse treasure hunter who, with a hand in both Ruby Hunt finds thus far, truly embodies the ethos of the Seeker! He shares this win with teammates Heinen, Rexford, and Ludvigson—as well as Daniel Schonhardt (who was not available to make the trek), with special thanks to Matt Koskie and Debby Koenig (for their help with the search). Just one ruby remains to be found. Best of luck, Seekers!
