Pardon my ignorance, but I don’t get it? You are trying to solve these with overhead overlays using technology that didn’t exist 40 years ago? Good luck with that!

What I see is a simple map that shows Angel Island and Golden Gate Bridge to the north, Bay Bridge to the east, cable car present, bell above, and map of California to boot; perhaps a hint to the street. tinyurl.com/2jub5csy Make sure to go full screen.  |

Well, I tested it with the already found casques, and it seems to work reasonably well (granted, I haven't made overlay gifs of the maps for them, but my solves seem to work going from specific painting elements to specific map elements). You know what doesn't often change much in 40 years? The layout of entire cities/blocks.   |
