Our team has had what I believe is a potential very big breakthrough, but who really knows.
That said, I'm confident enough to make my first-ever trip this weekend!!! Wish me luck!!!
Also, if not earlier, since this will be over around this fall, I vote we all come back here after this hunt is over and give where we thought it was and why. I would love to hear everyone's thought process with like-minded people that enjoy these kind of hunts. I feel our team has 3 or 4 great spots and would love to tell everyone how we got there once this is over.

Good luck, mm and team. It seems the push is on. The latest Call #15, Bobby says he is getting plane tickets. www.facebook.com/BreakfastTeaandBourbon/Bobby Roberts March 19 at 6:03am.I believe I know where the item is hidden. I messaged you. I am very sure of this solution, and would put boots on the ground very soon if I weren't stationed in Okinawa, Japan. mm, have you been able to line up the dozen plus things pointing to your location ?

The Good News for You:
After two days of searching with my kids, I was unable to find the treasure.
The Potentially Bad News for You:
I found the other item I went there looking for, now affectionately call it, "Oreo," and, like dominoes, Oreo led me to a couple more places that ended with me at a mini-cliff on my left to search around and under.
Do I have the final area where the treasure was hidden? The odds say I likely do not.
Have I found a place in the United States that's on public land, and it can indisputably mimic the entire final treasure day journey of the book, paces and all, start to finish (minus being able to tell you why a golden ring is important for the final spot yet)? I can confirm I have indisputably found a spot that checks every box this past weekend.
Honest Question:
What do you feel the odds really are of finding a place in the U.S. on public land that indisputably (we are talking, I show 100 people and 100 people would agree I have successfully checked every box needed, no maybe) lines up perfectly to the final voyage? Basically, what is the likely hood this place is probably it?

Honest Answer: 10 other people have gone to 10 other places and left with the same conclusion. So I put your likelihood at about 0.508%.

The one thing a little different about this spot compared to others, on the ride there explaining it to my kids on what we were going to look for once there, everything we found for what we were going to try and look for actually ended up being a more impressive version than I had explained to them.
This was literally the conversation we had on our walk:
Me: Go this way and look for this... we walk ... bam, well that was easier than expected. Yeah, that's definitely it. Me: Now we walk this many steps and we should run into this... we walk ... Wow, what are the chances of that actually happening that perfectly?! Me: Alright, now we go this way until we run into this somehow... we walk... My Daughter: Dad, here it is!!! Just like you said!!! Me: Unbelievable! Yeah, just like that! Now we need to walk this many steps, turn left, and through some tree branches there should be this if we're in the right spot... we walk... My Son: Dad, it worked, it's right there like you said!!! See!!! Me: Holy $@#t!!! That all really just happened that perfectly and that easily?! This has to be the spot!
Note: The above was not made more dramatic than it actually was. I kid you not, the conversation above actually truly happened as stated this past Saturday afternoon!

Since I went check out NOLA with my kids, I can believe it went that way. My kids were fully engaged and helped mark off paces, but things didn't line up like you are saying they did. Interesting that you found all of those things. While searching the park, nothing was showing up like in the book, so I knew I was in the wrong place. I am glad it didn't line up because I would have not had closure if I found things like you are saying you did.

Maybe after we find out where it is, I'll upload the video and post it for you all to see just how incredible it was. It was crazy. It was as if I was in the book. Everything just popping right up, one after the other, as you would read the next sentence in Chapter 23. I left knowing I did all I could do, but definitely zero closure. More like, what do I need to do differently to find it once I'm there?

I'm wondering if we ended up in the same place. I can tell you that my solve assumed NO as the starting point, and was within the mileage calculations of the route they took. Is that consistent with your solve?

Oh I see. I was in Arkansas. It is kind of remarkable how many places in the county can fit so many details. When pete said there are multiple solves and deliberate red herrings, I wonder if he went through the trouble of actually going to other places, counting off paces and such and putting nothing there. When I left, I didn't have any closure and couldn't get the thought out of my mind that someone could have just stumbled across it and took it not knowing what it was. But it does make me feel a little better knowing that apparently there are many of these places. If pete will be willing to pony up any information soon, I would love to know if this was deliberate.
