Got the book! 60 Riddles and then The Hatter's Riddle .... It says there are clues and hints sprinkled throughout to help solve The Hatter's Riddle.... Interesting and fun!

This is a fun introduction to riddles for all ages. I got my book in yesterday's mail and had fun talking about the master riddle with some of my non-puzzle friends. I wish the answers to the 60 riddles were not in the back of the book though. Submitted my weekly answer but I'm sure it's too obvious and wrong

After a quick analysis of about 6 hours, a quick tip for all:
Check the answers, even the ones you already know the answer to or are exceedingly obvious. Just check the answers. All of them.

Any thoughts on the odd formatting on page 99? It does not match the actual page 4 of The Hatters Hat.

Samantha, to meet it seems like a print error. Perhaps they didn't have the correct fonts installed when it went to print?

If any have gotten Best Riddles by David Jacobsen - please consider writing a review on Amazon - I'm sure he would appreciate it, and it will possibly help him more able to release a 'second volume'! The more fun the better! amzn.to/3HQe5fM

Anyone up for a collaboration thread on the final riddle? I've submitted four so far:
Death Black sheep Carbon
Maybe reply and avoid wasting submissions?

It is interesting to me that in the book, Jacobsen notes two conflicting requirements to solve. In the Introduction he states:
"your answer to the master riddle will not be easily guessed. If after warming up your mind with the riddles provided herein, you are able to guess the answer to the master riddle and decode the Hatter's secret message..."
In just a few lines he says you can't guess... yet the first person to guess wins.
Then, a few paragraphs later he says "The first person to notify me of the correct solution to The Hatter's secret message will end up with a treasure at the end of his or her quest."
Then later in the section containing the riddle, the instructions state: "The first person to identify the solution to this riddle will be the proud owner of a real-life treasure chest."
So is the answer a solution to the riddle or the decoding of a secret message? I wonder if previous solvers have given a correct solution to the riddle, (such as samantha noted above it could be Death, Black Sheep, or Carbon) but that, the ultimate solve will be te decode of a message rather than a one or two word solve?

Great points. I think there is something to 'decode/solve' that confirms/gives the answer to the Riddle - like how it was done in his two solved riddles of the Mad Hatter's book (one still to solve)- Those solutions are here: mysteriouswritings.com/the-queens-riddle-and-the-cats-riddle-solutions-of-the-wonderland-treasure-hunts/He seems to suggest in the Q/A below that there is more to answering the riddle in the book than just reading it and guessing at the answer (although maybe it could happen) mysteriouswritings.com/best-riddles-treasure-challenge-the-hatters-riddle/3Q) How did you choose the Riddles to include inside the book Best Riddles? Are the riddles some of your favorites or did you choose them because their answers or wordings might offer clues to solving The Hatter’s Riddle in some way? Or both? Or neither? Oh, now you’re going to get me into trouble. There certainly was a criteria for choosing the riddles, but I don’t want to give away any of my secrets. Let’s just say they’re each special in their own unique way. There may be more to the story, but I’ll wait until someone has solved the riddle before providing the details.

I've noticed there are some anomalies in the riddles and answers that could be clues for the Hatter's Riddle....

Yes, I have a whole list of anomalies of different sorts, but I can't really make anything out of them. I think I am making it too complicated.

There is a reason he chose the riddles he did.
