I was looking at the "site" the picture was from. There's a Bloomington in Indiana; also university. There also is an interesting statue. It too far for me to travel.

I’m thinking that the white and red rose are the ‘symbolic representation of the Wars of the Roses’. The ‘Lordy, Lordy’ hints could be referencing the earls and dukes of the Lancasters and Yorks.

That's well before the period of the poem although the names are very appealing as the basis for clues.

It's getting a bit quiet here so here are a few random observations: Usually Hesperides roam in three (triad). Red trident is Indiana University's logo (Bloomington). Some sculptures in the area: Peau Rouge (red skin). Red clock. Red Indiana Arc that resembles a broken chain link. "Void of fire", IU burnt down in the 1800's and was rebuilt. There's a plaque on top of the Rose well House mentioning this. Again I see a few "The Secret" influence in the verses. Purple gem (favorite color), Amethyst is February birthstone (Valentine's Day). Janeway statue and Rose Well House (wedding venue) have the old fashioned water fountain in common. goo.gl/maps/PGfsmCa7R6ErPkQq9"Two attentions never meet" sounds like a pair of parallel items i.e. columns. Maybe there's a little Cupid's Arrow hidden on top of one of those columns below the two stained glass panels.

I see that the one verse that does NOT contain Herrick text, verse II, ostensibly contains allusions to space and astronomical observations (yearning eyes, orbs, speed of light, dark(ness). In Dunn's Woods, the same university park where the Rose Well House is found is Kirkwood Observatory. Undoubtably an extreme case of apophenia, the name "Kirkwood" seems to marry Spock and Robinhood (Kirk and Sher[wood] Forest). Further down the Rabbit-Hole one will notice a tree adjacent to the observatory that seems oddly familiar.
