There has been an official announcement that the Breakfast Tea and Bourbon treasure has been found! The object was a flute. Pete is not announcing the solution, as there is an opportunity to get a consolation prize.
Congrats to the winner!

Congratulations.
Also, contrary to some of our concerns, the claim was made prior to the Aug 08 deadline to raise the prize by $5,000.

Greetings
Yes, yes! The treasure of Breakfast Tea & Bourbon was found Friday afternoon. Judy's beaded flute.
...(three images of the beaded flute being held,
...note: the flute is larger than could be held in cupped hands. I don't understand what Pete was doing in his most recent video where he indicated the object could be held in cupped hands??
...last image shows end of flute, which looks like the relationship turtle now mentioned)
Ah, yes. The relationship turtle!
Would you like to know where it was? Of course…but I'm not telling you…not until after the consolation round.
Were you close to finding the treasure? Maybe you were. So, for the next few weeks, we will have a true Armchair Treasure Hunt.
Between right now and August 13, 2017 you may submit your solution via email.
Simply write out your story of the hunt with your best solution. Be as detailed as possible and fully explain why you believe it was where you say it was. Include any photos you may have if you actually went searching.
I will select one winner. My decision will be final. The winner will receive an expression of appreciation from us here at Learning Strategies. You will receive a $1,000 credit for any of our audio programs. They are all designed to help you maximize your potential. Paraliminals. Diamond Feng Shui. PhotoReading. Abundance for Life. Effortless Success…
If no one submits the correct solution, there will be no winner.
If more than one are spot on, we will divide the prize. If more than four are spot on, we'll have a drawing. I will make the announcement during the week of August 14.
I will also introduce you to the winner that week. You'll be able to watch a video of the winner receiving the prize, you'll hear the winner's story, and you'll see the video of me hiding the treasure. (Finally!)
The winner has strapped on a cone of silence. You haven't been able to get the solution from me, and you won't be able to get it from the winner. It's all up to you right now. Send your solution to Treasure@LearningStrategies.com, and you may submit only one solution.
The fun continues.
Cheers, Pete Bissonette

Who found it? Anyone on this board? OOPS. Meant to quote astree. Well, he didn't actually say it would fit in his cupped hands but that he had maybe given us a hint to its size. What I thought at the time was that at least it's not the size of a coin or some object like that. Everyone that guessed that it was the flute at the beginning turned out to be right. So now I get to find out if the spot that I (and 5000 other searchers) checked was where it was actually located.

Hurray, it's over! Now we can all spill the beans about where we ~thought~ it was. I'm not going to be emailing any guess to Pete because my solution never got farther than a city. Perhaps my city is right, perhaps wrong, but I think you'll agree that there were plenty of clues that line up with it. So here goes:
I think the city is Baton Rouge, LA. Here are my reasons.
1. The cover of the book is red and Polaris and the Little Dipper (Ursa Minor) are represented by the dot pattern. Pete has mirror-reversed the dots to make it harder to recognize Ursa Minor, and he has left out one of the dimmer stars in the dipper. The concentric rings are centered on Polaris -- the pole star for the northern hemisphere. Get it? Red pole = Baton Rouge.
2. "Bourbagne Toast" anagrams to "Baton Rouge bats"
3. "Buffalo Trace Bourbon" has the letters of BATON in order
4. "Stack of Clues" rhymes with Baton Rouge
5. Sue's rubies (red)
6. Lipton tea has a red logo
7. The river of Pee (Mississi-Pee) flows through Baton Rouge
8. Pg. 53: Bulbous, *RED*, hand-blown glass hummingbird feeder
9. Pg. 107: Bicentenial tree -- this is a big clue. Baton Rouge was incorporated in 1817 so this year is the city's bicentennial.
10. Froggy Mo is a neighborhood in Baton Rouge (compare with My Froggy)
11. Zeeland Place is also a neighborhood in Baton Rouge. Page 21: "Candles infused with Febreze" --> ANDL + EZE, plus the bicycle trip in New Zealand, plus Fred & Myrtle Flutie lived in Bluff, New Zealand
12. LSU's school colors are gold and purple (Purple Rain). (Side note: Prince's full name is Prince Rogers NELSON).
13. Another big clue: Two blocks from Nelson's apartment is a "charming, intimate hotel with a RED brick and limestone facade and a gay dating CLUB" --> RED CLUB = Baton Rouge
14. Lots of other reds: Pg. 23: cranberry juice, pg. 24: red beard, crimson, "red of reds", blood red; pg. 136: Quarry Girl has ginger hair; pg. 140: red onion
15. Pg. 68: 200 thousand dollars (bicentennial again)
16. Bette Midler (her first movie: "The Rose") + pg. 13 "four big imperial roses" (and there is Four Roses bourbon) + pages 50-53: "Stop and smell the roses"
There are others that are more subtle, but these were the main clues that had me stuck on Baton Rouge.

Congrats to the winner. I will be SHOCKED if it isn't found in or a suburb of Hot Springs, Arkansas. I at least have piece of mind that I gave it my best shot and searched many trails in that place, though. My Four Spots:
1. Balanced Rock Trail 2. Charlton Trail/Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) Merge Starting at the Spring on Hickorynut Rd. in Royal, Arkansas (Charlton created Earl Grey Tea, Ouachita means Large Buffalo, Trail = Trace, both have a white blaze... The Grey Buffalo) 3. Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) - Brady Mountain Section (Had a Bench Dedicated to a man named Jeff, another bench dedicated to Tommy Sue Marsh that was next to a rock-eating tree, a Balance Rock, and all around trail mile marker 34) 4. Garvan Woodland Gardens - The only place a disabled person could realistically search with a friend. I'll hold back with all the clues I solved to get me to the four spots. Just wanted to post where I searched before the location is revealed. The February start date pointed us to Hot Springs, Arkansas and Ubud, Bali. Balanced Rock Trail: Charlton Trail/Lake Ouachita Vista (LOViT) Trail Merge:Lake Ouachita Vista Trail (LOViT) - Brady Mountain Section:Balance Rock at Brady Mountain Benches on the Trail (The Tommy Sue bench was in front of a huge rock formation and you could rest your feet on a rock-eating tree) Garvan Woodland Gardens:

I've been saying "cupped hands" but they could have been semi-cupped - the flute would fit.

Does anyone else think that the dots and lines on the cover look like a Treble Clef music symbol?

Does anyone else think that the dots and lines on the cover look like a Treble Clef music symbol? Day #1 (Chapter 3: 80 miles + miles then drove to park after dinner (we'll guess 10 miles)): New Orleans, LA to Baton Rouge, LA (80 miles)Day #2 (Chapter 9: 100 miles): Baton Rouge, LA to Ferriday, LA (100 miles)Day #3 (Chapter 13: 92 miles + miles to Butterscotch Clipper (we'll guess 12 miles)): Ferriday, LA to Bastrop, LA (92 miles)Day #4 (0 miles): Stayed there for the day (0 miles) Day #5 (Chapter 20: 114 miles + 45 miles = 159 miles): Bastrop, LA to Pine Bluff, AR (114 miles) + Pine Bluff, AR to Little Rock, AR (45 miles)Day #6 (Chapter 22: 55 miles): Little Rock, AR to Hot Springs, AR (55 miles)I used the dots on the book cover with New Orleans to Hot Springs (Pine Bluff, LA should be Pine Bluff, AR):

That's nice. Problem is, that there are so many ways to write date and time, that it looks like Pete was just having fun.
Here is the opening post from "Book Release Date and Time"
mysteriouswritings.proboards.com/thread/628/book-release-date-time
There were quite a bit of other direct references to Hot Springs and a specific area.
