Exodus 4:6 6 Then the Lord said, “Put your hand inside your cloak.” So Moses put his hand into his cloak, and when he took it out, the skin was leprous—it had become as white as snow.
'But Moses had been an old man and this portrait of him looked too white and new. I solved the problem by standing him on the roof of our gallery so the sun and snow could act as aging agents"
The words 'white' and 'snow' appear both in Exodus 4:6 and in the vignette 'Well, Here's Moses'.
Is this just a coincidence or is it a clue/hint?
Bear in mind:
1) Both texts refer to Moses.
2) snow white = nivea(L.) = venia = Indulgence
3) The idea that the skin of Moses hand turned white as snow may also be linked to the other name for the chest 'Tarzan' which is said to mean 'white skin'.

On another thread I ask if the goat in sb205 is in fact a sheep. The biblical symbolism is possibly the parable of the lost sheep/sheep used for sacrifice in the Old Testament, leading to Jesus becoming the lamb of God etc. Definitely not a ram or a ewe -- note the tail of the sculpture. It's a polled goat.
