I know we went round and round a while back trying to decide what the man in the clock represents. As I have mentioned earlier, I think he represents the carousel bar at the Hotel Monteleone. The argyle/harlequin socks seemed to be what led everyone including myself to think golfer and other things. The decor in the photo of the bar may explain those socks. He's likely just a bartender making his rounds. The only problem with that idea is I can't date the photo exactly.

A few comments on the grandfather clock. I don’t know if anyone has looked close but the moon on the clock in Hotel Monteleone has a face on it. Maybe since the mirror/mask touches the clock face it has a double meaning. First it could represent the man in the moon on the clock and second, the face of Humpty-Dumpty outside of Storyland. The real world clock has no second hand attached to the center of the clock. I also could not find a second hand on any clock with an eye/circle on the pointing end of it. It seems you are supposed to take notice of it. I think it strongly compares with Diagonal Drive in City Park. Can there be a clue from something that is not in the painting? Where is the clocks pendulum? They all have one. I think we are supposed to find it. Lelong Drive and Collins Diboll Circle in City Park, together are a pretty good match to a pendulum shape. Bienville drive which is next to the hotel runs straight to City Park Avenue.

I have heard a few folks wondering why the pattern goes above the sock on one of the clock guys legs. I noticed something that may or may not mean anything but I'll share it for the rest of you to ponder.

"I know we went round and round a while back trying to decide what the man in the clock represents."
I know what the 'man in the clock' represents. If someone (Choice?) would be willing to send an email for me to someone in NOLA, and undertake never to reveal who that person is or what their contact/ID details are (because that person may reasonably never want to be publically identified), then the email will contain what the 'man in the clock' represents. You would need to also agree to wait three weeks until revealing publically what the 'man in the clock' represents. Sound fair?

Are you making fun of his bubble booty?! j/k oh, so you noticed it too. Haha. I'm wondering since the wolf image is shown on the right side of the clock in the image, like the real clock in the Hotel Monteleone, does JJP's signature location mean something on the left side? on the real clock, there is a cow on the left side. Doesn't JJP mean something in cattle genetics, especially for Angus cattle? I just saw something online but don't really know anything about it. Can anyone answer that?

I always thought “CITY” was spelled out in the image, much like “BOSTON” was in the image for that city. The “C” is the chipped thumb nail, the “I” that dark mark at first knuckle of the thumb”, the “T” is down where the hand and wrist meet, and the “Y” is pretty obvious on the arm, just above the purple sleeve. If you put it all together it points to the City Park area. I feel most of the clues are leading us to this general area. Humpty Dumpty isn’t a bad thought, was talked about in the back portion of The Secret...doubt that’s a coincidence.

Choice, the negative space between the arm and body could also be a musical rest, although it's not a perfect match.

I hope I haven't mentioned this before. I noticed it a good while back. Just below the man in the clock it looks like a faint fried chicken leg. New Orleans is famous for fried chicken and major fried chicken chain originated there. I don't think it existed back in the 80's but today New Orleans has a National Fried Chicken Festival.

You can go many different ways because of the vagueness of these puzzles. For example the fly boy spinning in a circle could be a weathervane. A weathervane is usually mounted on top of a cupola. Since this is the French puzzle, cupola would be a coupole. Cou-pole literally translates to neck-pole (like the pole in the image). That pole in sitting on top of a teaspoon bowl that creates the letter C (Cafe?). A sidewalk cafe is very French! Most famous one in NOLA is Cafe Du Monde. It's located at 800 Decatur St. in French Market. Tan colored clock face + half-circle pool on top with turquoise looks like a canvas shopping bag. Fun stuff: De Catur (DC) translates to "of chess". Also Deca-tur for "ten" and turquoise?!

Hey Choice, Sorry I didn't have much time yesterday. I'm listing what I think is a logical progression of the clues for this image/verse/casque. I'm not saying everything here is correct but the clues form a chain leading to the Park where the casque is located. I think often there are map type cues in the images as well.
Following a logical progression of clues, not each clue individually. 1. The most prominent object in the image a grandfather clock has the latitude/longitude of the city of New Orleans. 29-91. Check. 2. There’s a famous hotel with a grandfather clock in the lobby, the clock has a wolf carved on the right side of it. There’s a wolf on the right side in the image. Check. 3. The floor of the lobby has a tiled floor somewhat similar to the tiles around the clock in the image. Check. 4. It’s an Italian hotel, the numbers on the clock have been changed to roman numerals. Check. 5. There’s a man on the clock face that seems to be going in circles. There’s a rotating carousel bar with a bartender in the hotel. Check. (I can’t imagine any logical reason to think to go out and look for a weathervane) 6. There are arrows pointing to the word “PRESERVATION” at the top of the clock. There’s a famous Preservation Hall nearby. From the hotel go in the direction of Preservation Hall. At this heading you will pass between Jackson Square and Louis Armstrong Park and also straight to Esplanade Avenue which will take you straight to City Park. You know you are looking for a park but which one? This is where the second part of the image comes in. Match the fluffy pleated dress sleeve, hairy arm/hand holding a mask/mirror with a white face on it, to something at one of the parks, and you will have your park. 7. The perfect match is the welcoming group out front of Storyland in City Park. Little-Bo-Peep’s dress sleeve is fluffy and pleated and of a similar color. Her hand is holding a shepherd’s hook with a curved top that can easily be compared to the shape of the mask/mirror. The arm and hand in the image are hairy to represent her sheep and her finger nail is chipped to represent the sheep’s cloven hooves. The white face in the mirror or on the mask is her partner Humpty-Dumpty. All in all, I’d say it’s a perfect match. 8. I believe there are additional clues like the arch and the bridge, the second hand, the missing pendulum, The narcissus flowers, etc.. 9. Now you can start reading the verses to figure out where to go next.

Yeah, thanks. I've been pushing my weathervane theory here for years!
