The code as is will look like it starts off as a phrase, but then it scrambles off. He admittedly did that intentionally. How do you know this - has Ben confirmed it?

Yeah....not getting a location like expected, just instruction, there may be too much play and variability at this level to know whether you are solving it as intended. Tough call.

Has anyone made any sense or headway on the instructions? Put together with the epilogue riddle, there is a lot of good info there, but yet still mysteriously vague. There has to be another overlying puzzle in this to get us into a more defined area, right? He's been doing that from the beginning, building that kind of structure.

Well it is possible to come up with a potential search area, but it is still a reasonably large area. So if there is only one image of the final object online, as has been reported, then a visit/physical search of the area might be more likely to yield results. It’s possible that the object was placed at the location by the author, and could be quite well hidden (to explain the lack of online photos of it).

You've found a mechanism to narrow down the 24 letter answer search criteria? That's what I'm thinking must happen at this point, and am working toward that end. Seems like that has to be the case.

For those of you that have figured out all 24 letters...does your answer read clearly with all words or is it mostly readable as words? My answers mostly read out except for a couple letters that seem off. The answers to those off letters seem to be the “right” answer but don’t seem to be the obvious letter that would fit best into a legible phrase. I’m just curious if others answers do spell out all words?

Yes, clear instructions. At least, that's how its working out for me. No misses or waffles.

I've solved a few and already have a serious lack of vowels! Anyone else find the combination of letters weird?

Have a clear 24 letter message, but for the life of me, not progressing and running out of ideas. It makes you second guess yourself a lot. Maybe something zodiac? Using Google Earth?? Something else encoded?? Its hard to discuss ideas without letting the cat escape the bag, so to speak. It just would be good to know what other ideas are percolating. Feels like this could die on the vine and its been remarkably fun so far.

Agreed, the end stage is proving to be quite impenetrable so far. It does seem quite likely that the Zodiac will be involved somehow, possibly using the front cover of the book in some way. And yes, the Epilogue looks like it probably contains clues to the final location, although difficult to pull it all into a coherent whole...

I've worked the epilogue riddle to death, mostly trying to figure out if there is a grand plan construct there. I could see using Google Earth in that. Also, the 24 letter solution seems more tailored to final location matters. I keep coming back to constellations as well, but nothing cross confirms or ties things together.

I feel like I'm going round in circles. Still not sure if my 24 answers are correct or not; I'm assuming some of them are wrong as I can't seem to progress any further. But which ones?....
There are still many things that puzzle me about this hunt, but I can't seem to convert those questions into answers. Then again, maybe I'm reading too much into things.
