In your pic of the 2 4..could the v of the 4 be verse and does it point to a representation of 1 and 0. For verse 10 Anyones guess. I don’t think anyone previously has shown that the verse numbers are in the painting. If one thinks so then there are lots of numbers to choose from in every painting. So which number does one decide on?

Another possibility for the casque location in FOY park. Of course it’s all theory From my post “First and Last” I see that the “waterWHEEL” is no longer at the entrance to the park. This got me to thinking about a wheel , why a wheel?, and the parking lot area close by . Looking back we see that the verse for St. Augustine is #6, the story about the waterwheel was on page #6 of the Secret and if you want to catch the train ( wheel), in the parking lot then looking at the map of the park , the train station was labeled #6. We all know what 666 represents… Why is that conquistador parked on the top of the painting ? Did the Spanish bring horses with them to the FOY? My guess the horse represents transportation ( parking lot) ,and holding a flag , maybe there was a flag at the train station ( not an active train track) So was there a tall tree there at this train pickup location? Did they number the parking spots (#24)?. Why “ two four” kind of sounds like too and fro, Maybe it’s about a pine tree maybe not. Why is that number 24 ( all trains seem to have a number on them , right Houston 982), located on the thumb? Is it a thumbs up ( your correct) or is it a hitchhiker thumb looking for a ride in the parking lot from that little park train. So I would be investigating this train station area closely. Was there ever a tree there or a cross ( see definition of a tree) by the train station? Oh yeah… that tall grass that the verse talks about is actually Bamboo. It’s in the grass family and all those things numbered on the that FOY map below he mentions in the verse, makes you wonder,( birds eye view)!
Could this be the area ,( lines up with the avenue of the palms), to investigate. Seems like the parking lot surface has been redone.

Expanding the theory more. With al the changes in the park I think this one is a strong possibility. Now I like the thought of the 2/4 referring to pine lumber and also the thumb referring to hitching a train ride, hitching post or the parking lot….. or maybe both! The last two things in the last line are “Years pass and rain falls” . Two separate things that we probably have to join together ( in a straight line). If you go back and read my theory on bearings then this theory would work. The way the painting is orientated the top of the painting is South and the bottom is North. If we start with the the lines First Chapter written in water we see that on the North entrance gate area. Of the FOY park. So I’m going to assume that that dig site( last line) will also be referring to something north of the other clues. Why did I stop on the line on page 6 of the Secret book “ a waterwheel spun”? Well it matches up with the last line ,last part of the verse 6 “rain falls,” but the critical part is the next line after that “ forest to lumber, earth to road”. What BP is probably trying to tell you here is “ Pine tree by the road” that is where it’s buried. Let’s look at that island in the painting for a bit . I think it looks like an oyster shell (Coquina) partly white bleached sticking out of the ground . Why is it surrounded by blue ? Must be water or perhaps there is an association with water like the Waterwheel ,that’s why you have the blue around it. The Waterwheel encircles the coquina support. ( island) and part of the support goes into the ground. This looks like a reflection but it just signifies the coquina , and the waterwheel ground support. We see that part of the coquina supporting the wheel has that general shape of the island . As a matter of fact part of it is light in colour and part is darker like we see in the painting Was it a functional waterwheel or just decorative? My guess it was decorative that’s why in the painting ( bottom portion aka north) you see that image of a horse that looks like it’s trying to get a drink of water from a stream that’s drying up. The angle that the horse is depicted at it looks like it’s exiting or coming from the ticket booth site. You end up back by the gate and waterwheel that is North. Now lots has changed in this area over the years. For now I can only maybe guess the general area if the theory holds water.🐴
Another overlay which may indicate the area to investigate

Where are you getting this idea that the waterwheel was once by the FOY wall on Magnolia? As far as I know, it's always been in exactly the same place on Williams, right where drivers turn off San Marco Avenue. That's about three blocks away from FOY. maps.app.goo.gl/LL3WGA9U6riphixW6

Thanks for pointing that out Theo. We don’t know what we don’t know. I like it when others point out errors it saves me from going too far down a rabbit hole.
Well that Waterwheel and pg. 6 in the book might still play a part as a hint for FOY park .If you can see a bit of that Williams St. FOY signage from the main park, but I doubt the casque is buried way out there since too many clues point to the casque being inside the property, but then again I wouldn’t be surprised if it was buried by that wooden phone/ power pole by the waterwheel.
By definition a tree can be a pole. I don’t know if BP would want someone to dig at the base of a live tree, this might damage the tree unless that tree was a pole. I can see digging a giant step away from a living tree.
Even today you see a flag on a pole at that road side site .It makes me think of that flag pole the conquistador is holding. The colour of the coquina at the waterwheel and the colour of that stone work in the painting is a match.

OK , I think I have it figured out for the most part. This again is all theory but it’s always a possibility. Remember what I said about colours and the colour black being tied to the end of the hunt and the location of JJP’s initial on the painting. Not to mention the flowers as well. When we find the JJP initial it’s directly below that palm tree on the so called island and right beside it is that blackened area by the water. To me that blackened area close to the JJP initial resembles a horses leg ( hitch a hike to the dig site). Look at the names of the bones of a horses leg.( see pic below). JJP painted that horse going for a drink at the trough by the flowers ,like we see at that waterwheel ( minus the horse) but with the water, ( rain falls) and the flowers. So why have that horse leg in black? My guess is that you line up the cannon to get to the coffin , but we see on the diagram of the horses leg bones that the cannon bone does not point not in a direct straight line to the coffin. This may play a part in having to look in a direction towards the ticket office that aligns more towards the power line post, ( a bit of a jog one may assume). So which side of the waterwheel is the tree in question? I think logically the casque is by that power line post ,(fits the lumber 2X4 theme and looks old), that’s wrapped by that tree( type of tree may play a part). Do we superimpose that pole, ( technically a bit south of the cannon) over a palm tree close by further east when looking towards the FOY ticket office? Then again technically, the coffin is north of the island ( bottom of the painting points north).or it just may be below( south). This all fits with the island ( waterwheel), surrounded by water and sky and far enough away from the main park that JJP paints it in a bluish tone. The big question is who owns the land and if it’s owned by the FOY park then we might still be able to retrieve the casque.

The Eyes have it…. Always learning something new. After reading a post on Reddit about connecting the eye of the conquistador with the eye of his horse it points to the cloud formation that looks like the Florida shoreline aka St. Augustine. Why stop there. Let’s join more eyes and see where they lead us to. When you join the conquistadors horses , ( the horse is transportation), eye with the Blue Sapphire birds eye you get to the cannon bone This line goes through the bony hitchhiking thumb. . San Marco Ave. goes in a straight line from the Castillo to the cannon ,(at the intersection of Williams St. and San Marco Avenue). There is more than one cannon at this location. These cannons may have been relocated/ repositioned at some point in time. When you connect the conquistador eye with the blue sapphire eye it leads you down to the water trough/ plants by the waterwheel. So stand in front of that Waterwheel looking east toward the main park entrance gate . When viewed does the circular waterwheel take in that power line post and the gnarled tree. That drawing on pg. 6 is circular like the waterwheel or possibly the bore of a cannon. So why all the birds in the painting? It could tie into the main park or there may be a symbolic meaning like “ bird in the hand is better than two in the bush” or since the birds are depicted in brick/stone then it might be something like “ Jail Birds”. There is the Old Prison/ Jail house next to the dig site. Notice how the bony fingers in the painting form bars, ( jail house bars). Is that a stool pigeon in the painting ? Another thing about the Pg. 6 image of the native, is that he is staring at the fairies’ “cannons”,( slang for breasts/ attractive women ). Then you have all that black below the smoking native ( the end of the hunt), below that tree. Remember the power line can kill you and end your hunt , so get permission first.
