Ok, maybe not a red herring, but seriously, what a clue when a location fits so well but is incorrect. Doesn’t inspire confidence when I perhaps ‘get’ another solution....

I guess there are 2 types of clues - those that relate to the solution for that particular video, and those that are relevant to the acorn’s hiding place. The trick might be deciding which are which.

Anyone else think that the date shown on the newspaper is THURSDAY JUNE 21 2010? The thing is, that date was a Monday.

Anyone else think that the date shown on the newspaper is THURSDAY JUNE 21 2010? The thing is, that date was a Monday. How are you able to see the date on the YouTube version? Do you have a higher resolution cache of videos from the original release? Is there anyway they might be shared?
Thank you for any reply.
Kind regards,
Kelly

Do you have YouTube Premium?
The max available is 1280 x 720 and freezing a single frame in YouTube's normal delivery package is quite difficult.

I’m just using the standard YouTube app on an iPad - slowing the playback speed to x0.25 does help with pausing it at the appropriate point. If you’re using a desktop version, you can pause and step back/forward using the ‘<‘ and ‘>’ keys.

Thursday, as you point out, is incongruous with that date.
June 21 2010 solstice was at 11:28 GMT

I hadn't thought to increase the quality on Youtube, everything is so much clearer now on the newspaper than on Auto settings.
Great spot on the date, anything else that can now be picked out...
Established - is it 1969?
Trying to get the name of the author, I get Frank Michael and then can't make out the last name.
Can't quite make out the words below BESCO either, the first one looks like it could be "Venus" but that might be at a stretch

Under BESCO, I think it’s “Your Only Choice” Not sure what the long word is in “All the information at your fingertips to lead a most _______ life”? I can’t make out the author’s surname either.

It looks like "unforfilling" to me which despite not being a word seems to bring up pages upon pages of google results where people have confused it with "unfulfilling" which itself is another way of saying "unsatisfying". Maybe it's just one of those words people believe to exist when it actually doesn't.

I agree, it does look likely to spell “unforfilling” - question is, has David deliberately mis-spelt it as a clue to something? Something with 4 missing perhaps?
