I got confirmations about the locations of all the English places that are the answers to six of the riddles Sounds like great progress, Cherry.... had you caught my question in regards to Stephen's Six Questions / Answers? One of his replies seemed to suggest his section might offer clues... I'm not as far along as others, but I had assumed his section wouldn't be used in the way he seems to suggest. Had you found anything 'hidden' in his section?

No I haven't but I will look at his section again. Will also buy the new book as it looks interesting and my first ever puzzle was Masquerade.

It would be great to get more discussions on the riddles going on here. What they might hint or lead to. I haven't delved into it enough to do so, but hope to get time soon. I hope others will join in- as it seems this puzzle is much in liking to the Golden Owl... which has twists and turns and depths to other levels....

The trouble is that there is a bit of a divide between the Uk and the US puzzle books. I have read both but they are aimed at totally different mind sets in my view .....might be wrong but there is a cultural difference I think.
In the UK there does not appear to have been many puzzle books since Masquerade .....there was a great one related to Cadburys Cream eggs but if i recall half the country got dug up by treasure hunters!!
There is a real need for a regular armchair hunt ....especially for the christmas present market!!

I have Conundrum The Cadbury Creme Egg Mystery in my book- and yes, you are correct, it got discontinued after just a few eggs found because searchers were digging in inappropriate places all across the UK. While I do agree there is a bit of a difference in 'Puzzling Mindsets', I'm not sure it affects the hunts. They are different, that is all, and I still believe anyone here or from there can solve the other. I also think there are lots of current 'regular/traditional' armchair treasure hunts going on right now to keep both our parts of the world busy...... Have a look... mysteriouswritings.com/treasure-hunts/In the UK is of course The Golden Casket which offers one of the largest prize values, however what about The Search for the Golden Heart, The Golden Oyster, The Hare on the Moon, The Oracle, or The Guardians of Legends? All those are of across the ocean from here. And stay very close to being 'traditional', although I realize there are some modern day adjustments. And in the US, we have Treasure Island, The Hatter's Hat, Echo the Owl, Cracked, Xavier Marx, Beacon Star, and many others ...... I find myself with plenty...too much.... to ponder.... lol....

Well puzzle one in the Notebook was quite a challenge, I have solved the braille after much trial and error, I am however at quite a loss to understand how the White Book of Rhydderch could be associated with anything mystic in context of where it has lived. I had to laugh at myself after puzzling for at least an hour how the White Bool was an answer, a good cup of tea and bit of a break resulted in much mirth once I realised how the author had done it, very clever!

Well done with the White book and yes one of the mysteries is to link that book with the rest of the puzzle .....I have my theory but am not definite about it.Puzzles 3 and 4 are not too bad

I had no idea that this was such a varied hobby, I guess the ultimate would be to do your own treasure hunt. I think the armchair treasure hunts at least here in the UK have a bit of a bad reputation, as you both reminded us the Cadbury's Creme egg mystery certainly caused damage to the countryside, I also remember reading in the 80's about a treasure hunt whereby the clues were leaked by the writers ex girlfriend .....I think and the treasure was dug up by two teachers who beat a local thuggish metal detectorist who was trying to find the treasure without solving the clues ..... all a bit seedy if I recall. But ho hum... drama entertains I suppose

amagerdk you have liked my post does that mean it has been helpful? which makes me feel good I must say, if you like I can send you some ideas I have on some of the other puzzles that I might not necessarily put in the forum, it is all about a bit of a sense of mystery I suppose. I like to help and I respect that others may want to solve things for themselves, let me know!

I got confirmations about the locations of all the English places that are the answers to six of the riddles Hey Cherry, from where does the confirmation come? It is what I find the most difficult: to be sure that the place found is the right one.
