(Please feel free to add your own) I thought I would post some of my metal detecting finds. Nothing worth millions, to anyone else, but me The first is a cowbell (without it's ringer)- but I was so excited to find 'something' other than 'garbage' that day. lol. I will keep on and eventually find something that is totally cool to all. Til then, I always have fun with my husband going out and 'detecting'. That is treasure to us. Fall is coming too... and that is when we go to the ghost towns nearby where we live. The weeds die off, and snakes are less bothersome, so we choose to go then (that or the spring) Beaches on warmer winter days. Those days are coming around again too. Here I am on Coin Beach-- I found a penny. Maybe this year I'll find a nickel!

Metal detecting is one of my favorite hobbies. I'm lucky to be in a civil war area and have found many items. Hmm? I think you just planned my weekend.

Best of luck to you! Hi, I did make it out to go metal detecting and found a museum piece. At least it will be a museum piece when it's at the museum. The first link is for "Coin Harvey" He once ran for President. It was found at his old resort. The second link is the photo of the find. Coin Harvey

The findWhat an awesome find! Thanks for sharing it with us. Inspiring! I hope to get out detecting some day soon..... I have an old church lot (church no longer there) that I want to go to. It's now a field and planted in soybeans, but along the edge was a few old trees I want to go over... There are some great things out there to find!

I thought you might enjoy seeing some of my finds. There is some jewelry and lots of clad coins found in the 80s and 90s. I haven't been metal detecting in years and I live very close to the coast?? This contains a lot of the coins and stuff. I probably have found 50 or so silver coins that I have in coin sleeves somewhere. lol Here is my metal detector bought in the early 70s I believe. This Whites Eagle II was state of the art in its day. It is a discriminator and can recognize different coins, gold, etc. I am going to have to check it out and see if it still works. (It does!) I guess I can now add my H Charles New Mexico cache I found using my new Ace 400 detector. I had many good times with my metal detector on beaches, school yards, farms, and in the Rocky Mountains.

Wow, that is quite a lot of interesting stuff. I had found an axe head at the one old ghost towns a bit back. It's all rusty but I'll add an image later.... just for fun...
I find it great to see all the various things found.... because although not worth monetary millions, they are worth memorable having fun millions...if that makes sense...lol...

I can imagine the bugler too...
Colonel: "We have got to fall back. We are going to get destroyed if we stay here. Bugler, sound the retreat!" Bugler: "Ummm... sorry Colonel but I seem to have misplaced my mouthpiece."
