In the new book, OUAW, on page 64. The hat pictured is different than the one in the Scrapbook at Dal's. (Scrapbook 126) The "bobwire" is gone and replaced with some kind of band. And the hole is not only different but in the wrong place.

Most people are aware of both hats, different stories... and don't forget Marvin Fenn's hat and Annabelle's hat, and every picture of Fenn on the book covers and the stick-men have hats.

lol
FF's got me going in circles, the blogs are full of strange things, and there's a smart ass around every corner. It's time to break away and try to pick up the pieces.

Do you think I should buy the new book? For whatever reason, I have been holding back. I keep seeing people post comparison comments. I feel like I am missing out.

$35 after tax and/or shipping.. if you are truly playing this game... you should have all three memoirs... if you'd rather put the money to better use like a hamburger or something, maybe the double double at in-n-out

I had 10% off the price from attending the Fennboree, but they don't take credit cards. I didn't want to mess around snailmailing a check. How weird. Anyway- I just bit the bullet and ordered up the new one from collected works instead. Yay for me! Thanks for giving me a nudge, decall.

. Is this thread a reference to Forrests quote that was something like “you will find no mildew in the chest”? If so, I also took it as, “you will find no million due in the chest”, because the million is already there.

Mike. I do have The Thrill of the Chase. I will check it when I get home. edit: ok, i checked it. This is the Robmerg quote, where he was at A and M, then quit and walked in the wood. And it was cold if i recall. it looks like flowing water, and @lmost sure. But when i closed the book, it almost caught on fire. The Romberg words, not the book Makes me want to roast some winers with relish. Or nathans franks. so i dont know if it was wor th the cold. But not mildew, almost for sure.

Not too long ago I was trying to find a solution to a clue, and so looked up the Native American symbol for water, thinking Forrest could of carved something up high on a rock "Water High".. If I remember right, a couple of wavy lines stacked on top of one another, was the Native American drawings meaning Water or River... They do look very similar the wavy lines that made up that poem...
