"We've been looking up for so long, it's time to look down, at and into the earth. There is something very special about Medicine Mountain, aside from the Wheel located there. You can -- or could, before it became a crowded tourist attraction -- feel a power in this lonely high place. Probably that is why the Wheel was built there; the others are on raised hills, but this one is unique in its location, far from any place that any tribes people were accustomed to go."
? (Still thinking about M W's in general.)

Why is the Sentence before this one, in Past tense "If you've been wise and found the blaze".. There's no sure way of saying just because you found the blaze, you'll be wise enough to find the chest, unless the "Blaze" and chest is in the very same spot.. Could the chest possibly be sitting on top of this "Blaze".. Maybe the treasure is on high ground, in a clearing where you possibly could be seen by someone?? Meaning, when picking the chest up and seeing the blaze, Forrest is telling you to "look down quickly" and around, to be sure your finding the treasure is still a secret?? I've always found the "But tarry scant with marvel gaze" sentence very strange too... Meaning to me, DON'T celebrate, but rather grab the chest and GO! I mean is this a treasure hunt, or a prison break??
I just recently discovered this Treasure Hunt two weeks ago, and am still finding some of the more recent clues, but I do remember seeing Forrest at one time being asked, "Was the Blaze was facing north, east, south or west", and if I remember right, he never really gave an answer..
I know my thinking is getting somewhat bizarre, but I'm really struggling with these last few clues..

Well I hope there's a gold location where the TC is like gold nuggets all over the place on the ground about the size,of a hens egg

I know my thinking is getting somewhat bizarre, but I'm really struggling with these last few clues.. You and me both...my thinking is somewhat bizarre too. I have give much thought to your point about "prison break" in a sense as well. The words "to cease", "But" and "Just" (IMO) are critical to finding the tc. To cease - seems to me that you are not there yet but you think you see where when you "look quickly down" (whichever way/how that is) But - seems to me that you will be sidetracked in the correct direction (not where you thought you should be going) for whatever reason leading to "Just" Just - I'm still on the fence how to approach but seems to me that there are other objects/things/items where the tc is that should be left where they are. The "prison break" thinking you mentioned is similar to how "Just take the..." make me feel. I can't shake the I'm stealing something feeling when I take the chest. I hope this helps in possibly a different way to think about those lines and again just my many ways of thinking. Good hunting to you.

Not sure if Forrest has commented on this or not, (If he has, I don't recall seeing it) but has Forrest ever been asked if the TC is on Public or Private land?? If the TC is indeed on private property, that would explain how incredibly "Top Secret" I feel the treasure hunt becomes once the chest is found (as is explained in my last thread, above).. If my head scratching is paying off, I think the TC is on private property, or very close to it, with this private property probably being open to the public.. This would also explain why the treasure and chest were taken in as two trips, as there were lots of people hanging around (and with my treasures bold)...
Imagine walking around a bunch of people, with a million in gold stuffed in your backpack.. With all that being said, If the TC was hid on private land, wouldn't you think the Finder is going to want to keep things very quiet when the TC is found and retrieved, to keep the land owners from laying claim to it.... That just makes me wonder, is it possible the TC has already been found, with the discovery being kept very quiet by those involved.... Even if the person contacted Forrest himself about the find, I could see why Forrest would want to keep the TC being discovered quiet too.. Once the public finds out the TC is found, most of Forrest's fun will be over, and IF the treasure is never reported to be found when Forrest leaves this world, his hiding spot is a secret forever, leaving the "Forrest Fenn Treasure" a legend forever as well...

Drifter, This is what I meant concerning Private Property being open to the public... Ok... Say for instance, I stay the night at a local KOA camp somewhere in the fine state of New Mexico tomorrow, and while out walking my dog, I find ff's treasure at the far rustic corner of the property, stashed in some rocks, one of which has a huge white spot on it (the Blaze).. That KOA is open to the public (to stay at), but is not actually public land.. Someone owns it and it's actually privately owned land.. Now if this did really happen: Forrest did hide the treasure to be found, and says to the clever finder, It's yours "Take the treasure and go in peace" but it's actually on someone's "Private Property".. Every store, eating establishment ect. you enter daily, is actually privately owned property.. BTW.. Thanks for the welcome, and I'll try and stick to the subject at hand from now on..

Two possibly related terms and one song coming to mind on this thread: 'In holding ' and 'aerial' -

"quickly down' is fun too - crash, collapse, meltdown, bad news, in no time, slide, tragedy, cataclysm, etc.! If you've been wise (having or showing experience, knowledge, and good judgment)..., Look quickly (quick: of a person prompt to understand, think, or learn; intelligent.) down (throughout (a period of time)
