I have been to glacier national Park and it was quite the hike to get down to the waters edge. I could see goose Island off in the distance. I can’t imagine Forrest hauling a kayak down to that lake. There are areas closer to the waters edge but he would have to kayak even further down and around to get to the island. That seems way too hard for someone that is 80 years old. Just saying a park map is a good map and a big picture to look at in the park/forest.

Did forrest slip by saying forest normally forrest would say if you are hunting for his TC he would say it's some where north of Santa fe in the mountains

There are to much evidence pointing to a forest.

It also could be reality in general. Forrest's advice is not to over simplify the clues. You think it applies to a park or even Google earth. But what if you step back and realize that it could be reality in general?
"There are many places in the Rocky mountains where warm waters halt, and most of them are north of Santa Fe." That statement is not specific to any place or occurrence. It is simply telling you that MANY places in the Rockies have WWWH. Most are north of Santa Fe. Why? Because MOST(not all) of the Rockies are north of Santa Fe. Do warm waters halt in Illinois, Texas, or Tennessee? Of course they do. You have to see the big picture.
