Well this theory has a twist to it.didn't forrest say you should be able to see the blaze from 10ft to 12 ft out from the blaze.So do you have to be at less this close to the blaze on green river.

Fenn never gave a distance needed to see the blaze.

Fenn never gave a distance needed to see the blaze. But he said you should be able to notice the blaze from 10ft to 12ft out. So can you notice the blaze from green river further then 10ft or 12ft.

My recollection is that he said if you're within 12 feet of the treasure (not the blaze) you should see it.

He did NOT say the blaze! "Second, I have not said that a searcher was closer than 12’ from the treasure. It is not likely that anyone would get that close and not find it." dalneitzel.com/2014/06/25/scrapbook-seventy-eight/You may want to infer that the treasure is at the blaze, but in my read of the poem, it is not.
