Forrest is the fox we assume he used a backpack in transporting the gold in 2 trips.The backpack is a good disguise to dress like the hound could the hound be the hiker. If this is so then forrest didn't bury the TC with a shovel how can the fox disguise him self like the hiker with a shovel in his hands if there has been many none searcher been within 500ft.
This leads me to the forest get off the beaten trail.
