Thought 1000? feet above trees + (240 feet trees or 300 feet tall trees?) + 37mm cannon to clear vertical tail (6 feet to 10 feet to 14 feet?) + 150 feet seat rocket launch = ? total feet
Military T-10 parachute inflated average rate of descent 22 to 24 feet per second = ? time to 18 inches bouncing above jungle floor. Side note - in an interview ff said his parachute collapsed after misjudging his landing on top of a karst feature, but not mentioned in ttotc.
Picture 37mm rockets ttotc pg 85
Page 24 ttotc paraphrase – the bell rang and I was out of there like a cannon ball on fire

Super Sabre Society - Forrest Fenn - Caterpillar Club - A 'pilot to pilot' ejection experience:
Yes. And ff gave the video interviews posted on Dal's site. But we searchers must use ttotc as the gospel. FF did mention "I closed my eyes tight as my body crashed into the trees.... for what seemed like an unreasonable length of time." Again, pg 23 & 24 ttotc - "my eyes were open; it was just my eyelids that were closed." It may seem unreasonable, the time, but is it? What seems certain are the parallels.

Wow. FF on a virtual freefall for way over 240 feet. Incredible.
I broke 3 ribs and bruised 3 from a fall off ladder of about 12 feet.
