What if FF( or a searcher) publicly revealed the irrefutable answer to WWWH? How would you feel?

I don't believe ff would reveal the clue. If a searcher revealed, then everybody would be half-way or so there, but they would not understand why. But it would start a massive rush to the general area.

Nobody would believe without other supporting evidence.

Forrest said the clues were “contiguous.”

It's interesting because Forrest said you wouldn't know you have the correct WWWH unless you found the chest....... and so how can a searcher reveal WWWh- and no doubt- without having the chest?

Jenny,
I interpret this to mean that since there is only ONE way to reach the correct WWWH; the Chest can not otherwise be discovered.

Also, in the hypothetical situation of FF revealing where WWWH is, because we still don't have the chest, we still wouldn't know for sure whether his WWWH was correct or not.

The reason I asked this question was to see if people thought that it would help the discussion about where to look for the TC, (since we would all be starting in the same place) or whether it would hinder the discussion by making people more reticent to share their ideas.

What's also interesting is a few searchers very early on in the hunt identified the 'first two clues', and assumedly WWWH (not necessarily knowing they had done so though)... This to me suggests WWWH is not some far out and rare location....

If what I suspect is true; not a whole lot of ground has ever been necessary to Solve it at all!
Only a genius could have accomplished 'all that'!!
TIME will tell; it always does.

What is your definition of a long way? Not in the same "general area". I generally agree.
