But he said 4 clues might have been solved but he didn't know it because ff hasn't got any information from a text about the other 2 clues.So if this is so does this mean it only takes 4 clues to put you within the 200ft spot from the TC.

I think so mikemarcum879 (and welcome back  ...) Solve is not quite the right word to me, even though it has been used...... in my opinion. He said searchers identified the locations (and to him solved them)-- However, the searchers were not aware or confident they had -without doubt- 'identified' these clues....and moved on. That's not solving to me... If a searcher truly solved 4 clues, they would have the treasure. To me it seems searchers have only mentioned the locations, but not with enough confidence to have found the chest-- which really is the only way to say you solved them. Didn't Forrest say once that only if you have the Chest will you know you have solved the first clue- or something? (will have to find the quote- but it's something like that) From searching for other hidden treasures, I know how difficult it is to find something when even a small amount of doubt is in your mind. One must almost have complete confidence they are in the correct spot to sometimes find a hidden item. Doubt, no matter how small, is a powerful enemy for success. |
