SOLUTION 1G Answer: Seaman Statue at Sacagawea Circle, Cascade Locks, Oregon A MAN OF THE SEA "Seaman" was Merriweather Lewis' Dog WILD AND CAREFREE Wild, because it was a dog MY TRAVELS ABOUND I'VE BEEN ALL AROUND Seaman traveled all over the US with the Corps of Discovery I TRAVEL NO MORE Now he is a statue NOW I'M ON SHORE The statue is on the shore of the Columbia River I'M BOUND BY THESE LOCKS He is located at the Cascade Locks FROZEN TO ROCKS The statue sits on top of locks I HEAR THUNDER CLOSE BY Thunder Island is right next to the shore where this statue sits AND GOD IN THE SKY The Bridge of the Gods can be seen from this location I'M A MAN OF HTE SEA Again, the dog's name was Seaman BUT I STAND ON A RIVER This location is on the Columbia River I'M HERE WITH A FRIEND His friend is Sacagawea A NATIVE CAREGIVER The two statues, Sacagawea, a native indian, and Seaman, the dog, are both together at this location CLUES IN THE ART: The art shows Sacagawea, just as she is posed in the statue that is next to Seaman the dog at this location. Her hand is outstretched to Michaelangelo's God in his "Creation of Man" painting. God is there for the Bridge of the Gods. The background shows Multnomah Falls. The O is for Oregon. Barely visible on a rock is the logo for the Port of Cascade Locks.
