The first two stanzas of Forrest Fenn's Poem:
As I have gone alone in there
And with my treasures bold,
I can keep my secret where,
and hint of riches new and old.
Begin it where warm waters
haltAnd take it in the canyon down,
Not far, but too far to walk.
Put in below the home of Brown.
As you can see Halt and Walk are two words which don't follow the rhyming theme of the poem. Why was Forrest so determined to use Halt (or walk). It seems to me definitions would play a major part for his reasoning. What is so important about it? What do you think?
