All a bit tenuous... my key word is 'bold' i.e. embolden certain letters to fit
e.g. with My Treasures bold=MT
hint of treasures new and old=mount prospect
Where Warm waters halt=Asiatic Creek, end of it
Too far to walk=Long Trek Mountain
home of brown=rainbow(creek?) (encyclopedia brown [think like a child] lived at rover avenue) put 'in' under 'ra' and 'below' below 'in'
No place for the meek=Bear Creek
In the wood=Elwood Creek/Cabin (spanish el=he, i.e in 'the'
trove for all to seek=treasure falls observation site
heavy loads=coal creek/quartz creek
join them up on map, or some of them

For me, the poem has 3 parts to it. First is a legal statement, then the map and lastly is the reason ff hid the treasure. The poem, to me, is very complex and deciphering it correctly is key to being able to keep what is in the tc. Hence ff has asked for the finder to kindly give him back only 1 specific item in the tc. IMO and worth nothing. My rabbit hole is telling me something different though.

IMO and worth nothing. My rabbit hole is telling me something different though. The poem, for me, is both very complex and very simple. To explain that, there is a simply answer which is very much like many other solves, and you won't really have confidence in it from any other solves. In fact, this simply solution would be full of choices towards wrong solutions throughout the 9 clues. Thus making it very hard to get to the right one. Then there's the complex solution, very very deep and difficult, riddled with riddles and difficult to puzzle together. But this is the way to having confidence, knowing that you have the right starting place, and knowing the right path.
