Something discussed in that video was maybe the Q/A was a hint to someone being close, and being blind at not being able to see it....

If hitch is in the right place maybe ff is telling us in a quite way hitch you have to be a hiker to be in the right area like a NPS.

Just a passing thought: if you were playing the game Password, and someone gave you the clue "hitch," what would your one word answer be?

Hitch- the video mentioned a synonym is ”yoke.” Also Forrest has previously mentioned the word “Marry” As in marrying the clues. And then the Bible refers to being unevenly yoked. That meaning yoked is referring to marriage. And when you get hitched that is getting married. Hitch in many different scenarios means some kind of rope/ string/ ribbon being fastened to a fixed item.
Hitch can also mean limp. As in “you got a hitch in your get along.”

Hi Heidini: okay, you're going with synonyms. Consider an alternative: what noun/object would you associate with hitch?

Hi Heidini: okay, you're going with synonyms. Consider an alternative: what noun/object would you associate with hitch? You mean in general or in the poem? Maybe marry. Handfast ceremony is a Tethering of 2 persons, getting hitched, yoking it up!

No, I mean an alternative to synonyms altogether. *What* do you hitch? Imagine someone saying "Hitch ...?" on Password, and you're trying to figure out a word (or words) that would follow. Like someone saying "Fiery...?" when the answer they're looking for is crash.

Hi Heidini: trailer is a good answer. The one I was looking for was wagon, specifically "hitch your wagon". I used that 3-word phrase in a retort to Lugnutz on HoD (who was praising the theories of searcher E.C. Waters) earlier this month. About 9 or 10 days later, the Gypsy Magic illustration post appears here on MW, and the very next Q&A (I think one day later) was the one from Hitchhiker in which Forrest shortens his name to Hitch in his reply. Get the joke? Hitch + wagon (in the Gypsy illustration). I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Forrest was poking a little fun at me. ;-)

Something discussed in that video was maybe the Q/A was a hint to someone being close, and being blind at not being able to see it.... Jenny & All, I believe the Q & A, in question, may have derived and/or been revised from a question posed by ROLL TIDE over on THOR. The questions by RT was: forum.hintofriches.com/forum/the-hint-of-riches/52576-need-your-input-fenn-clarifies
Forrest,
I have never seen your treasure poem in print.
But, someone has read it aloud to me several times and I have memorized it.
The only thing the reader has told me about the printed version of your poem is that the word 'Brown' is capitalized.
Not being aware of any of the punctuation in the poem, do I have the same chance of following the nine clues precisely, as compared to those who have seen your poem in print ?
My thoughts are that someone may have revised the question in their own liking and came out with what we now have: Mr. Fenn– If your poem was in Braille, how close could Helen Keller get to the chest on her own? ~ Hitchhiker Don’t know Hitch, but I would probably tell her to team up with the little girl in India. fJust an observation.
