I like it. I like it a lot. If this is the case, will anyone every figure out the Correct Solve? Because if each solve is as hard as shown, then to do it 5 times, that seems like quite a lot of effort. I'd like to remind of the fact that false treasure rooms were almost always a part of real life hidden treasures. Tut's tomb had two false treasure rooms before the final trove. Maybe that's why Forrest spoke of a thousand years. Maybe once you have 5 spots in your target area, then that is the time for BOTG. Then, a thousand years turns into now. So for drpepperwood's example of Hebgen/Earthquake Lakes, 5 spots for heavy loads/water high to blaze(s)? to treasure. One should be correct. And these 5 spots when viewed as a whole might give us a bigger picture, as we marry these spots to a map. Just thinking. My spots have numerical meaning, they make sense. So how do we choose? Thence ff's comment that we must have BOTG, because each spot only has a 20% chance. Imagine the kind of intel his mission briefs gave. With armies moving, the guns being repositioned, new guns being brought to the field, intel can only get you so far. The pilots, like Fenn, then had to make tactical judgements on the fly. Thus dangerous air. "...numerical meaning,..." Mine too. And I do believe FF gave us the formula. Because when I used it on two numbers it came up with a lead. Like the 8.25 miles and links, feet etc... and then the elevation given matches that place that is dear to FF.

Let me clarify - no 5 spots where warm waters halt. Begin the 5 spots after home of Brown. Why? Couldn't they start at WWWH? I may have to rethink my statement. Maybe there is a spot at WWWH. But my current thinking is all after HOB, because the 5 spots are the ultimate destination of the Laos mission/Cancer operation. The mission and operation were the final target. My current thinking is not at "Begin it."

I think you have the advantage in the chase.

Let's call this the Five Spot Theory. But certainly my intent is not to mislead anyone in the chase. Frankly, if somebody can shoot this theory down, I'm fine with that.
I did some more thinking. Maybe the variable is "heavy loads," because it is plural and "high water" is singular. The variable of loads might be different for each spot, to get you to each of the 5 spots. Maybe high water remains the same for each of the 5 spots.

Rob, I think it's a very solid theory. I don't know about 5, but the concept seems solid. The big issue is being in the right place, that's why Forrest has repeatedly said that you need the first clue (WWWH).
