A difference between a 'Sabre Dance' and 'gear collapse' as was pointed out by FF and a Posters Comment.

Rob,(graves)
I don’t know that anyone has survived the sabre dance.(treasure's still there) It occurs in an F-100 when the plane is near the ground, has a high angle of attack, low airspeed, and not enough power to fly out of it.(usually caused by a snag in the line) The plane stalls, drops a wing, and crashes.(panics, buffalo sauce, boom)
The photo you referred to in my book was taken at Chateauroux, France.(France again for a man who claims to dislike the French) My nose gear came down for landing, but the 2 main gear would not.(all is not as it appears) They foamed the runway for me and I landed.(they saved his life) The guy in the white hat on the right, is me.(foremast, mainmast, mizzenmast) f
On the C scale, 100 degrees is the boiling temperature of pure water at sea level. The Kármán line lies at an altitude of 100 kilometres above the Earth's sea level and is commonly used to define the boundary between Earth's atmosphere and outer space. "Take Me away from Here" f(short hundred)f not enough blessings in a day

Châteauroux (French pronunciation: [ʃatoʁu]) is the capital of the Indre department[1] in central France and the second-largest town in the province of Berry, after Bourges. Its residents are called Castelroussins en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch%C3%A2teaurouxCastelroussins Roussins Roussin Now here is the holy crap moment... The name Roussin is an ancient French name that was given to a Languedoc person who was a person with a pleasant singing voice having derived from the Old French word rossinhol, meaning "nightingale." www.houseofnames.com/roussin-family-crest

That was nice of Forrest to respond.
Being an air force pilot and testing new jets was no place for the meek. There were casualties because the jet had a lot of bugs, and its tremendous speed and design created learning challenges for the pilots. I can appreciate the task, and that's why I was curious about Forrest's experience.
Back to the chase, maybe the jet had a shoe malfunction.

Possible aberration in the book. White hat.
Pg 38 ttotc - "....and shot at people, usually guys who were wearing black hats. I pretended to be Hopalong Cassidy" Cassidy with black hat.

I saw a white hat out there last time I was botg. It was right, on top of a 10' tall goal post, and the dead bird was knocking one out of the park. Interesting photo to be noting.
His mention of Stalin crashing reminds me of his recent use of Down Payment.
